*Bruce at The United Center (PJ Venue Related)*
Hi friends,
I just got back from the Springsteen show at the UC (good show, not great....too much southern baptist preaching stuff). Anyway I also used tonight as a sound barometer for our upcoming PJ shows. The sound gets better as the song progresses. What I mean is that often at this venue the intro is indecipherable. Often songs get muddled when they start here. Bruce brings ALOT of his own gear and I know PJ does not have a speaker set up like the Boss.(not as many instruments either) I was in Section 110 and I feel with the popularity of these shows 10 Club could goes this deep. Being closer to the stage is very important here, not from a visual perspective but an auditory one.
We are also lucky that one of the shows falls on a Sunday. Getting to the UC from outside the city is BRUTAL. I live in the northern burbs and it took us two hours to get there. Give yourself plenty of time if you are staying outside the city on Monday, by O'Hare or something or use public transportation.
Setlist if anyone is interested from last night:
Badlands
Spirit in the Night
Outlaw Pete
She's the One
Working on a Dream
Seeds
Johnny 99
The Ghost of Tom Joad
Raise Your Hand
Trapped
Candy's Room
Mony Mony
Waitin' on a Sunny Day (w/ Jay Weinberg, through the end)
The Promised Land
The Wrestler
Kingdom of Days
Radio Nowhere
Lonesome Day
The Rising
Born to Run
* * *
Hard Times
Jungleland
Land of Hope and Dreams
American Land
Dancing in the Dark
Rosalita

Bruce has had very poor audio quality over the past decade or so with his live shows. It's a constant source of frustration for his fans. I am confident PJ will have better sound quality.
