So if white people only want to patronize white owned stores it is racism, but blacks that purchase their supplies at black owned stores is pride. Progress indeed.

why do you guys find the most insignificant stories and blow them into a race/political/partisan story?

so a family in Chicago is loking for a black owned whatever

    big deal.

its 1 family. its not national news.

Fox picks it up and now its nationwide pandemic that all you drones need to regurgitate.

    save it.

When this becomes a National trend, please call me. Have you forgotten at one time Blacks weren't allowed to eat food in white owned stores or even drink water to quench a thirst in white owned stores? I'd like to see you handle a few days of living like this.

So Puhlese give me a fricking break.

A guy on my softball team was a foreman for a construction company in North Carolina. He's black and had to deal with people who refused to talk to him because he is black... but would gladly discuss business with a subordinate of his. The guy is a Gulf War veteran who actually saw combat in Eastern Iraq... remember, the guys that got the ticker tape parade in Washington, D.C. in 1991? He was one of them.
He understands that racism is alive and well in parts of America and doesn't complain about it.
    ...
The point? The point being, don't pretend that you understand the black perspective in America... unless you are black and live it.

    Well said Cosmo.
  • Yeah, I patronize gay-owned businesses any time I can. Sorry if that offends your sensibilities, but it's the way it goes.

I'm not refusing business to straight-owned places but I do want to support my own community.

People who are making a big deal about this are really saying a lot about themselves...

If you want a good laugh, go check out the 20+ page thread about it on the hannity board... And I say good laugh because if you go to that board at all, you have to be in the mindset of not taking ANYTHING serious.

I used to visit that site every now and then just to get a laugh at some of the most redicolus threads they come up with. Now they won't let me post for some reason.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't reading carefully enough, but where did it say anything like that in the link you posted?
