So What's To Like About The Celtics?

    why I hate Boston sports:
    1) - Patriots are convicted fn cheaters who might have stolen a Super Bowl from the Eagles
    2) - Red Sox win and all of a sudden they think they invented the freakin' game - Red Sox nation should be taken out like Saddam Hussein
    3) - the Celtics win too often
    4) - Bill Simmons drones on and on endlessly about Boston sports - use to like this guy but now it is just too much Boston crap.
    5) - Bill Bellichek is an arrogant sob
    6) - I'm from Philly
    so on and so on

Uh, he got his job on ESPN as the Boston Sports Guy and shortened it to Sports Guy for ESPN. So of course he's going to write about Boston sports. Sort of how Sal Pal is more often than sent to cover Philly related stories because he lives in South Jersey and Jayson Stark always mentions a Phillies item or Peter Gammons always relates a Red Sox item.

He's not going to change who he is and why he got his job.

True, but he writes the same columns he did for the most part from his Boston Sports Guy website that got him the job. It's not like Rick Reilly or Dan Patrick have changed their schticks after switching jobs this year.

I have nothing against Boston sports teams. If anything, it's a desire to have the competent management that has turned the Celtics and Red Sox into winners. Plus if anything fans of those teams went through severe dry spells. At least I have the Giants.

I had to laugh at the article also and what's written above but I can understand. The same may happen to Pittsburgh if they repeat and the Pens win the Cup. As for me I could've easily have landed in NYC instead of Boston and could've been a NY fan of the Yanks, Rangers, Knicks Giants/Jets? I even moved there years later to Brooklyn but Boston sports was already stiched in and there was no turning back. The Patriots will be back better than ever,

    Simply....BOSTON SPORTS RULE!

You can't help having a solid basketball team. They deserve the legacy they have too. What other professional sports team has won 17 national championships? 10 of them being consecutive.

Love 'em or hate 'em. The Boston Celtics are just as fundamental to AMERICAN sports (not just Boston sports) as the New York Yankees, or the Dallas Cowboys.

Exactly. Boston sports have definitely had their "dark years". The Celtics were basically off the contending forecast of NBA teams through out most of the 90's and early 2000's.

I don't give two shits about football, so the Pats are irrelevant to me....and the Sox have had their time off the radar too.
