i'm old, white, and female. was raising children when PJ was doing their thing. stumbled across eddie singing black in a youtude vid. love at first sight. and i know his mom!

    i don't mean to question your statement but if you know his mom how could you have just recently stumbled on his music now?

    maybe now that she got into Ed she researched him and found out who his mom is and then she realized she sees her at the grocery store on Thursday afternoons or at church on Sundays :D;)

    Welcome to the AARP chapter of the Ten Club! There are a lot of us old women on here who have a thing for Eddie, and many, like me, were smitten when they saw Black on Unplugged all those years ago. You definitely have to see him in person -- he's amazing!

    Re:his mom, I do lots of activist stuff in Encinitas (where EV went to high school -SDA) and met his mom at several events. when she told me she was EV's mom, frankly, I didn't know then how big or how good PJ was. Haven't seen Karen since I started listening to the music.
