Eddie DID NOT Play in L.A. on Wed. at the MINT!!!!

Hey just wanted to share this...

I just found this out. One of my good friend's and client's in L.A. told me he's kicking himself now for not attending this show at the Mint on Wed. night. Ed was apparently there and played "Society". I just e-mailed my friend Steve (Molitz) who is a part of this band to find out what went down that night. I'm taking this "rumor" for truth though, and I'm sure someone else can confirm it. :) I can't wait to hear more about this from the horses mouth.

The band consisted of:
Molo, Avila, Cody Dickenson (North Mississippi Allstars), Steve Molitz (Particle, Phil & Friends), and Josh Clark (Tea Leaf Green, Particle).

And Sean Penn, Charlize Theron, and Harry Dean Stanton were also in attendance.

I'm hoping there's a recording of this...not just because Ed sang a beautiful rendition of Society, but because this is an awesome line-up.

    Ok well I guess I should have gotten confirmation on all this first, lol my bad - lesson learned - just got excited! I just got a nice detailed email from my friend who was there. Eddie wasn't there, but was still an incredible night of music! I'm about to listen to a few tracks now.

    Here was the confusion though: Jerry Hannan (an up and coming singer/songwriter that I believe Molitz is doing the producing with) was playing too, and he played a song called "Society" - I don't know if its a cover of EV song or an original...am downloading it now to take a listen.

    SO SORRY, I am a BAD informant and kinda feel like a jerk now! :oops:

    Jerry wrote Society. It is his song. :D

    Would have been cool to see him play it.

    Yeah I was just talking to my buddy about it...totally forgot that Ed covered/collaborated w/ Jerry on that one - I'm not that familiar w/ Hannan (but I will be now :) )....It's one of my favs on the album I can't believe I forgot this.

    It's funny after all this banter today, a bunch of us are buying Jerry's albums today! I love how a little conversation can bring me to new music. Maybe this thread should be moved now, idk...
