Just throwing this out there: Prior to the '05 Canadian Tour, rumors of PJ playing new material were rampant in message baords. As we know, they didn't play anything fresh.

I have a feeling that they might play a lot of the ten songs in the new remixed style but it would be fucken coool is they rocked something new.

This bares the question- we PJ hit us with new, mindblowing songs?

anything you read/hear is just guessing. nobody knows (unless its from a band member).

I am guess there will be 3 new songs that they'll rotate, similar to what they did in 1997. I also think Brother will make an appearance.

I'm going to say little to no chance. In 2005 they had most of "self titled" already completed and played none of the songs live during the Canada/SA tour. The only exception was when they played Gone one night at the Borgata.

    Most likely NOT.
I think the 2005 tour showed that.

I'm not sure the summer 2005 tour is a good comparison, though, because the album didn't come out until almost a full year later.

Apparently Matt just said that the album is past final mix stage, and we're 3+ months from the shows.

Especially if it's true what Ed said about no 2010 touring ... I'd be surprised to not hear any new songs.

there's a ... lot to be said for nowhere."

I think the album will be out in time for the shows, so I expect new tunes. I dunno why everybody is so sold on the fact that these shows aren't the album supporting tour.

How exactly are they gonna play Ten in the remixed style? They basically took all the studio effects off the album to sound more live.

Before the Avocado album was released, and as the tour was going on before the album's release, Ed stated in an interview that he wanted their new songs to be heard in studio form for the 1st time and not as a live version for the 1st time.

In the case of Gone, this was one of those many instances where Ed came up with an ad-hoc untitled song around the time of a show and played it. In this case, they ended up carrying it onto the album. It is my understanding that the album was basically done at the time they were touring, but they added Gone late in the process.

In the case of Comatose, they played Crapshoot very early on at a small venue. I would bet that at that time, Crapshoot, now Comatose, was like Gone, and maybe written during the rehearsals for that show.

I agree with anybody saying that if the album is released by the time the shows are performed, they'll play new songs in heavy rotation, and if there is no release, there should be little or no new material exposed.

No one knows but the band, would be interesting if they did with the way that they are releasing the concerts online now. You could possibly get a live version of the song a month or so before the album comes out, not sure if they want it to happen that way. I guess only time will tell.

My guess is no in Europe, Chicago, Toronto and Outside Lands, but yes at ACL since the album should be out by then.
