Just wondering what people were bidding/scored and the risk I run if I book last minute (if my friend comes, hotel is set with points, if not, then i'm on my own and if i go priceline, nonrefundable)

Mahalo :)

www.biddingfortravel.com is one of the best sites for comparing priceline prices - i use it everytime i go for hotels from them.

Flights are tricky - make sure you go the day before since they can give you any time in a 12 hour window with a stopover somewhere...

    Thanks,
    I'll try there.
Flights didn't seem to be as good as hotels. My low bids kept getting rejected and i've found cheaper fares on other sites. I never travel same day as the show (SF taught me that, way too tiring to travel cross country and be up for rocking out, or maybe i'm just old)

I got a Round Trip flight from L.A. to Maui (supposed to make a connecting flight to Honolulu, but I'm skipping out on that)... Honolulu to L.A. (via San Francisco) for $416.00. Add the hopper from maui to Honolulu for $45.00, so, it's $471.00 for airfare from Orbitz.
Housing... friends on Maui... and either sharing a Hotel with friends or staying with friends or family. Push comes to shove... I got a rental car I can sleep in.

You should bring your friends and go to the Wishlist party at The Ale House ;)

Yeah flights from LA are are reasonable, but I'm flying from Newark and there's a big range
