2nd confirmation email for Chicago just received

Here's point 6:

6) ***TICKET DISTRIBUTION WILL BEGIN APPROXIMATELY AT 11:00 AM ON AUGUST 23RD.***We urge you to pick up tickets early, to avoid congestion around show time. More information about box office location and door times will follow closer to the date of the show.

That is freakin' early. Are we assured that no matter what time we show up, 11am, 3pm, 5pm whatever, that we get the same seats? Not like the "block" fiasco of 03? Are my tickets going into an envelope or something that morning, or are they going to take off a pile?

    Unless they have dramatically changed they are predetermined and it won't matter when you pick them up. :)

    You'll have the same seats regardless of what time you show up.
    However, they want you to show up early because if showtime is 7pm and everyone shows up at 6:45, you're gonna miss part of the show.
    The United Center only has 2 will call windows open that day, I believe. So, if you're going to be in Chicago that day, just go early. It benefits you to not have to wait in line.

    Have fun! Wish my vacation was scheduled for a different month.:(

    why is it that for this gig they are asking people to pick up tickets as early as possible yet for the manchester and london shows the booth doesn't even open until 2 hours before the show?!?!?!
    2006 - Astoria, Dublin, Leeds
    2007 - London
    2009 - London, Manchester, London
    2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London

    Just got my 2nd confirmation too. I dunno if I"ll be picking up the tickets at 11 am, but I'll try to get down there somewhat earlier than 7.

    I had my doubts about really having tixs, but now it is confirmed. I cannot wait, what a summer, Eddie in Baltimore, Phish in the 'Burgh, and PJ in Chicago. It pays to be a teacher and have the summers off.

    I urge people to go early and get their tickets seriously... The Gorge 2006 was mad because people walked up from the camp site soooooo late and missed 5 or 6 songs. Similar story for many other shows I have seen. Get there early and grab em'!

    2006 they were in an envelope. standard will call for a uc event. 2003 was off a pile

    Got my confirmation a few hours ago :D

    I LOVE that the Box Office is opening at 11am! I will drive past the UC on my way to the 1pm White Sox game :-D This is gonna be a great day. only 15 and a half weeks til some PJ!

    I highly recommend picking up the tickets a couple of hours prior to the show. The Gorge show was nuts, too many people picking up tickets at the same time, same thing happened in Philly last year for the Thursday show.
