Tour in 2010

Anyone else think the full-scale tour behind the ninth studio record will be akin to the 2003 tour? That is, starting in Australia in February and moving on to the United States with, perhaps, a leg in Europe either before or after the U.S. tour.

It's seeming to be clear the band doesn't want to do the 80-date tours every three years, so perhaps the short jaunts in 2007, 2008 and this year will keep them fresh and on the radar of fans.

I mean, I totally get it -- they have different responsibilities these days, and that's cool.

Thoughts?

    I'm not the only one on here that read somewhere where Ed said there wouldn't be much next year because one of them was having a baby.

    I read that on this message board too a few months ago but I think it would be odd for them to not do a world tour when they have a new album coming out.

    Ya I think probably some shows this November in S. America then Australia in February then US east & midwest in April then Europe in June.

    Except that interview took place in January. So do the math. I think Ed likes to talk out of his ass in interviews just to give people something to write about. :D

    Not to say what is or will happen in 2010, but at least a couple members have said no US in 2010 and that the fall mini-run would coincide with the new album due in Sept.-ish. They seem to have laid it out pretty straight.

    back when MC was doing the Rock Band thing...people went up here saying that Matt said they were doing europe (which we all know) then going into canada for a few shows and then hitting the west and south (US)...skipping the east cause they just did an exclusively east tour...

    i could be wrong in the sense that it was an interview instead of MC on Rock Band that disclosed this...but that's what i think is happening...

    i live on the east and am saddened by the fact they may not be doing an east coast leg...however i have family and an open invitation out in cali so hopefully i can grab a show there...also i hope they tack on some eastern major cities (NYC, Boston, Phillie) at the end of the tour to kind of wrap things up before they go home

    It's prophetic- the band sits at home watching us set fire to everything when they tell us there's no tour.
