Question about Seniority

So I have a simple question that hopefully you guys could help out with. I joined the 10C very recently, August 08 so my number is extremely high. I live in the Ma area, so if I went to a show, it would be in Boston or Mansfield. this being said, and knowing my 10C number is 423xxx, what are the chances i get better seats then I would get with Ticketmaster, and what's a guesstimate as to what row I could possibly have. I'm simply asking out of pure curiosity, nothing bitter about the 10C changing back to seniority. Thanks a lot

You're better off with 10 Club tickets 99% of the time. In the past some people used to say they preferred the "side wing" seats up off the floor that Ticketmaster had versus the 10-C seats on the back of the floor, but it seems 10-C has rectified that in recent years and now has those, too.

In an arena show, you might get closer thru TM since you could get higher up but closer to the stage (which I think is better than all the way in the back of the floor). In an amphitheater, you'll probably almost always end up with better tickets thru the 10c. And don't worry. Your seats won't be bad. Only bad for the people who are spoiled and sit in the 10th row for every show. The majority of people who complain are from like 30 rows out and can't handle it. 400k members are usually just jazzed to be in the building and you will be I'm sure!

Hard to day - I have a bad number - in an arena I expect to be in the wings about 15-20 rows up. For me that's a great seat - IMHO better than 1/2 way back on the floor where a lot of 10clubbers 80,000 numbers below me end up. Ticketmaster is a total crapshoot. Could get really lucky, but I would be ecstatic if I pulled something as good am my 10c tix on TM. I also would rather be surrounded by 10c members any day.

To clarify, they didn't go back to seniority. Always had it for PJ shows. 2nd and 10th row were randomized on the last tour. Good luck!

Because it almost never happens. Anyone ever notice how rarely you see truly great PJ seats for sale on sites like Ebay and Craigslist? Seriously -- check it out now if you doubt me, for the Vedder solo shows.

Believe it or not, I hauled in BBB (legit 2nd row, I checked a million times to be sure) for Eddie solo through Ticketmaster. :D Can't wait.

  • Yeah, I just joined for the first time right after June 30 in Mansfield. I was like halfway through the first section after the hood, if anyone is familiar with Tweeter, so my tickets were not too hot at all. I joined 10C cause I knew I'd be going to more and more shows as I got older (I'm only 16). But the new 'update" makes it seem like they might not come to East Coast this year. Do you think I'd be in like the first 30 or 40 rows? Even that would be amazing.

That's awesome! It happens...but very rarely.

So true. I remember looking at the MSG shows last year and there wasn't anything more than a couple scattered singles in the first six sections of the floor. They really do an incredible job procuring tickets.

I was in or around the same section as you for that show. You shouldn't knock those seats. Considering our region of the country and the intensity of the fanbase, you're lucky to get in the door with TM. Besides, the only bad PJ ticket is the one you didn't get :D

Believe, I know I was lucky to get a ticket. I was just wondering if 10C would give me better seats than that. I'm hoping they'd get me under the cover at least...right?

  • This will be the first time for me using 10C tixs, I have a high number 423XXX, b/c like many fans I let the membership lapse and now realize the error in my ways. Will see Ed in Baltimore in June and scored some pretty good seats through TM. Real excited about the Chicago show and just hoping for some solid tixs. I do not need to be in the front row but that is a huge building and I am simply hoping for lower level. What do you guys think?

Go to TouringFans.net, and you'll see many examples of fanclub numbers and what seats they got in whatever town you are thinking of. It's been pretty accurate. It's a great website.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

I went to the June 30 Mansfield show. I bought tickets through TM and I had decent seats. I was under the roof on the left side of the stage...two sections up.

I was in the last row of that section due to the fact that I bought tickets about a week after they went on sale. I also joined 10c about the same time, July 08, and have a 423xxx #. I think that you would get better seats via 10c next time around but I'll be honest. Even where I was sitting in the last row before the lawn, I thought the seats were great.

I have always gotten better seats for Mansfield through Ticketmaster. My number is 411-something. I was in the back section of 5. I got section 3 through Ticketmaster. Do what I do, buy two through TM and two through 10C, bring 3 friends. Take the two best seats for yourself and your most dedicated friend.
