its pretty obvious that Pearl jam/ten club are getting more than 10 % for these 2 north american shows--- this is great news-- makes ticket buying much better will hurt seat location but makes process much less stressful.

thanks ten club---

based on the language of the ten club announcement coupled with the fact that tix are still available --

the statement about tix being available to all ten club members regardless of sign up date (after may 9 or whatever the date was cant remember) makes me think the are gonna try to sell as many as they can thru the pearljam.com

seniority takes care of the rest.

i think ticketmaster doesnt want anymore fights with artists and if they get there fee regardless - they probably no longer care---

only thing im worried about it really long lines at pick up windows--

You got that right. Ticketmaster and Live Nation want to merge and are waiting approval from the justice department to ok the monopoly, so they don't want to make any waves. In the meantime, let's enjoy the wave and thank the fan club for making it easy to get tickets this time around. I'm really happy to be able to see PJ this year in Chicago.

I was thinking they must have got a much bigger allocation to enable an 'on sale immediately' announcement and be confident they wouldn't sell out within half an hour and face the wrath of the 10c members  . Makes sense I suppose.

Maybe JUST maybe the people is not buying and traviling too much this time around, first this "surprise" ticket sales make things difficult for those not living close to the venues, maybe a lot of people is worried money and about their jobs (like me  ) and prefer to stay and have a shot in the next tour, not everyone can drop whatever they're doing to take a plane and see PJ, i'm going to see Eddie in Baltimore, but just after i had the time to think and plan ahead, I love Chicago is my favorite city in the US, and i'm dying to visit Toronto 'cause i heard is beautiful. But on times like these things can't be taken lightly specially with jobs and bills to pay

I think you might be on to something here. It was posted earlier that the face valve of the Chicago show is $66 and we are paying $74 a piece for them.

While yes that is only an $8 difference, I don't recall it being that 'steep' in the past, but I could be wrong.

I agree with this too. There has to be more than the 8-10% that we've grown used to in recent tours. Everyone will be a few rows further back compared to recent tours, but the atmosphere is going to be AMAZING.

I agree, they normally don't make them available to members after the sign up date, but they probably arranged to get a lot of ten club tickets. It's a good opportunity to make a lot more 10c members as more people find out about the show in the coming days.
