Didn't get an email from the band, didn't know about the show or presale until the site was down, so I was worried... Found out about the show through radio station XRT and thankfully got a pair after about 20 minutes of trying.
Also spoke to the 10 club over the phone about confirmation email and processing. Gave him my name and cc # and he confirmed order, but also said an email saying your order was processed was enough, except if you enter your CC info wrong, or are over the limit.
Chicago is so fucking great, that's why I live here!
Got my tickets last night. See you all in Chicago!

has anyone gotten their 2nd confirmation email from the Ten Club yet?
I have yet to get a first. When I was getting the tickets after I hit submit a got a proxy error and never got to the next page that says you will get an email. However it's in my profile and my CC has $148 reserved on it and if a try to buy again I get the restricted message so I'm guessing I got tickets.?.

I don't want to talk you out of anything but I'll let you know my experience with the hubby at a PJ show. I've been a diehard since around '93, and my DH always thought it was 'cute'. He's more of a metalhead and is used to going to local shows where the bands each play about 45 minutes TOPS. So off he came with me to the UC Chicago show in '06. I should say that he was never really a fan, but knows the radio songs and is okay with them. He seemed to have a good time for the first hour, then sat down for the remainder of the show. I kept on jumping and screaming and ignoring his obvious prayers for it to end. (Gotta keep my priorities intact!) After the show, he said that there is no reason for any band to play over 3 hours and that it wasn't that he didn't like the show, he just got bored. (Did I really marry this man?!!!!)
Anyway, I guess I was hoping for my love of PJ to rub off and when it didn't I was pretty bummed - BUT at least now he can say that he's seen them.
Take your wife - if it's not her thing then she can decline the next time around! If she loves it, then you are a lucky guy!
