I'm not one to complain, BUT not everyone here can not stayed glued to a computer screen. Many have jobs and such, and not everyone has money right away to buy tickets. Why not announce all the dates at one time, and give a frigging grace period so that 10c members can maybe gather money? I understand it's exciting announcing tour dates, but don't you think it should be fair for everyone? An even shot.. announce when the pre sale will start maybe a week from the announcement. People refresh a page for hours only to see A: 2 tour dates and B: Tix on sale for 10c now.

Im sorry but it's just not fair, and I have no plans on traveling to either i'm just a little pissed for the people who can't buy tix for their hometowns today because such short notice.

I understand that. But I don't like the fact that they go on sale RIGHT AWAY. A lot of times people like to plan accordingly and base travel plans etc around that before buying tickets.

And look at what happened when only two shows were announced and on sale right away during a work/school day, it completely crashed. What would happen if there were multiple shows and people had a few days to prepare for a set on sale time. you wouldn't even be able to think of the site without it crashing.

It doesn't make sense to be disappointed for the reasons you listed. The tix are by seniority so you have a couple days to make arrangements, w/o worrying about where you are sitting.

I am more concerned with the fact that they are announcing a few shows at a time. If it turns out they are only doin shows in small bunches, I don't have a problem with it, but if they fill out the rest of the tour this way, I think that's kinda crappy.

That means they need to upgrade their servers or do whatever it takes. This has been happening for years, unfortunately. Im happy with the Ten Club, except in this one thing. And its a big thing.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if I wait to get tickets and they sell out before i get them, seniority doesn't do me any good. And I completely agree with this randomness crap. I am now in for a 6 hour drive and an 5 hour drive. I bought on the sole reason that all I hear is south and west rumors after ACL. Now if they play somewhere closer I will probably not be able to go.

See, this is my main bitching! A little bird tweeted its ass off late last week. people coming here in waves over the weekend biting their nails for the next big announcement. For nearly 3 hours, I was NOT able to get online here at the board, and when I do, the big news is JUST Toronto and Chicago? On days I can't even go, and no time to collect the money. WTH?

Is the 10C starting to take pleasure in seeing mass confusion and chaos in this community when they tease us with HOT TWEET NEWS?

Something ain't right, and I'm not down with it! We're being played with (esp those who really want to go to these shows). I'm disappointed. :|

I'm kinda hoping that impulse buyers will get burned. The people who just buy the tickets because they are up for sale... then, realize, 'Hey, I'm 2,000 fucking miles from Chicago and don't have the vacation time or the money to go there.'
Then, they figure, 'Oh well... I'll just have the Ten Club transfer them to someone... someone who wins some stupid fucking game where I make them answer some obscure Pearl Jam useless trivia I post online to make me feel like somebody that's popular.".
    ...
I hope they eat those tickets. I hope the Ten Club says, "ALL SALES FINAL".
    ...
The tickets are for people who are GOING to the shows. If you are NOT going... don't fucking buy the tickets... don't place them in your Cart if you are not going to buy them... Hell, don't even LOOK at the goddamn page. Be a little considerate towards the people who actually WANT to (and CAN) go to the show.

    Same.

And worst case scenario I'll hit up the OLF. I'm in LA and could make it up to San Fran last minute to hit Friday nights show.

Personally, I will hold out for a Vegas show, as I can get a direct flight from Billing, Montana for $70

Far less than the $955 in airfare for the Atlanta EV solo show

My wife and I will be there night 2

If they announced the whole tour at once, we wouldnt have this issue. People that buy tickets far away from their homes may be thinking that it will be their only chance to see PJ this year.
    ...
The thing is... you KNOW there will be a full on Tour. I know it. These are stick-on shows. A lot of bands do this... tag shows to the end of an overseas jaunt because the dates they were negotiating with the promoters or venues were no-go, but these dates are available.
There is going to be a regular Tour.. and more than likely, in two or three legs. They will probably announce the dates per leg... as all of the contracts and agreements are finalized.
    ...
I just want the fuckehad that buys a pair... with absolutely no resources to travel to chicago... to eat that shit... and find out a couple of months later that they are playing 2 miles from their home... but, have no money to buy tickets. That would be poetic justice... and hopefully, a (very painful) lesson learned.

But Chicago tickets are still available and based on seniority...so aren't ya jumping the gun a tad? I mean, I could see this post having more validity if Chi-town was sold out already.... :?

Look, I hope you are right, but there is no guarantee. Maybe the full tour wont be til 2010. If Toronto is the only chance that I will end up seeing them in 2009, Im certainly glad I got tickets.

People had no idea that they would still be on sale at this point. Most people thought that Chicago would sell out right away im sure. Hence they grabbed tickets as quick as they could.

The difference is... you are GOING to Toronto.
The ones that fuck up are the ones who can't afford the airfare (or ground travel), lodging, rental car and dining out that goes with the pair of tickets... and KNOW they can't afford it... but, STILL BUY THE FUCKING TICKETS, ANYWAY... just because they can. Taking a pair out of the hands of someone who actually WILL go to the show.

That's why I got them too. Toronto is closest for me too. Figured 7th row in Toronto in hand is better than not seeing them at all. Now I just need to deal w/ the wrath of my wife when she finds out.

Their money, Their Choice. Deal with it. I dont understand why you have the hate for everyone. obviously everyone that buys ticket believes they will go. I'm sure there will be the occasion where someone cant down the line but why would you hope for something like that. I hope that all people that bought tickets can go. Besides that... there are still tickets available. so its not like they are taking them from anyone right now.

And you know this, how? Yeah, there will be a full on tour....eventually! Might not be till next year, after the album comes out. Who knows when that will be. And the last "full tour" in 2006 was basically just a few shows on the east coast, and a few shows on the west coast. Last year was not a full tour either, just a dozen shows mostly concentrated in one part of the country. There's a huge chunk of states that are just getting full on screwed, wondering if Chicago is it for this year (not counting festivals).
