Seriously - the $50 is like the "convenience fee" for one pair of tickets. They are ridiculous.

Based on the law and the labeling of the card, that is shady...

But, if it had the expiration date marked on the card (and during the purchase process), then it's hard to really get too pissed off.

Kinda like those gift cards that after a while start taking off like $2 a month for an "inactive fee"... If you know the rules upfront so you have the option of not buying it.

From the time I was 14 ( i am now 49) till about ten years ago. My love is music. I never could play or sing...I figured I was here to appreciate the music...I have been to so many shows I lost count .About ten years ago I quit going to concerts. I miss seeing my favorite bands...but on the other hand I hate how the bands turn so greedy....when they (Metallica) have millions yet want to put kids in jail for copying a song on there ipod....The prices they want fans to pay for tickets ....I can’t afford and I would not pay if I could....Some bands have gone way over the top...EGGGGGGOS!!

When was that law passed in California? If it was after the expiration date on the card, I doubt the law can force companies to honor it.

But if the law has been on the books for years, and he can prove it was purchased in California, not just that he posses it in the state, then yes, booooooooo Ticketmaster!

I just paid $148 for two tickets to see this band, weren't they about half that a few years ago? Actually they were, I just looked.

Oh well I guess the cost of everything goes up, it is too bad Ticketmaster keeps raising the fees. But why shouldn't they, people keep paying it. Stop buying the tickets and the prices should adjust.
