So what are you really bothered by this? I would be MORE concerned if PJ's music became cheesy and unlistenable with weak lyrics than being played on some show. To me their last album sucked and I'm more interested that their next album makes a comeback that could adhere itself to what I've known of PJ's music.

A musician friend of mine Michael Franti and his band Spearhead did the same thing with the opening song "YELL FIRE" to the series 'RESCUE ME". He caught flack mainly from new fans and some old ones but to me what's more important is the get the music out there with strong positive message and lyrics. PJ doesn't need to get their music out they already have established a huge fanbase.

Bands do this all the time with ringtones/merchandise to supplement touring and other means of income to help keep ticket prices down. Especially in this down economy this is essential.

After the many years atists have given to their craft I don't see a problem with them turning their work into some income in these hard times. The sellout issue is thing of the past and to me NOT a major issue in today's music structure especially a band such as Pearl Jam. They've certainly put their time in along with giving the corporation some complications.

No, I'm really not. It strikes me as odd, but not bothersome. The "sellout" reference was just an attempt to poke fun at the other folks who have recently been accusing our favorite band of doing said selling out. I actually got a little pumped, watching the clip!

I did the exact same thing when I heard Michael Franti's song the first I heard the commercial to "Rescue Me". I was just excited to hear is music getting out there to the masses, he has a lonnnnggg way to go to catch up to PJ's fanbase. Good stuff.

Whoa - I just tried watching a little of it. I didn't know Cold Case was so horrible. Why did they use the music? Like other posters said, the music didn't match at all.

Unfortunately, it kind of hit home with me. I work in a heavily male dominated field and, while we don't kill the women  , they do have it rough.

I'll be tuning in again, next week.

I get the "point" and storyline of the show but that show sucks some serious ass!

It was awesome hearing PJ on TV, but my god...that's terrible show!!
  • Funny, that's in my top 5 favorite shows.

I haven't seen the episode in question so I won't comment.. but over all I love that show.

That's why I didn't watch it. I've seen it a few times and I just don't like it. It always seems like the stories are so contrived and there's so much evidence and so many witnesses still around that I can't figure out why the cases weren't solved when they happened.

But I don't like any of those "procedural" police shows like CSI, etc. I just think this one is more far-fetched.
