Ticket announcements

I am probably in the same boat as all of you, I am usually tied up during the work week. Just wondering what the odds would be if 10C could give most of us a fair shot at tickets and make announcements and sale dates on weekends. I know Kat and Sea and the rest of 10C probably don't work on weekends and I can respect that. They work just as hard as most of us and deserve a break. But maybe, just maybe, during times like these work a little OT for the benefit of all the fans. It seems that a lot of people here have to take days off from work and school just to buy tickets. I also understand that no matter when you do it, it will be inconvenient for someone. Just assuming that a weekend date would be more convenient for the masses. I get off work fairly early, about 2pm ET but I am already an hour late from when tix go on sale. I'm sure most west coasters are already at work by 10am. I don't have access to a computer at work and don't have a fancy cell phone w/internet. I'm not bitching, I will get tix if it's meant to be. And I don't expect the policy to change. Just making a suggestion.

That's why I think lotteries are the way to go.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.
  • I share your burden. Being on the East coast is far more difficult b/c the population gives us more competition. Even though I have a computer at work (with a T1 line) it was impossible to get tkts to my area shows. The only way I got around it was to plan a vac around venues at less populated areas.

Do we know what time this might happen tomorrow? I'm not going to be at work in front of my computer all day tomorrow, but I can get to one as long as I know what time.

Uh yeah, I know, thanks. But I'd like to give it a shot.

  • I hear you on this, but maybe you can start coming down with a fever or something *wink* *wink*
Can you take a sick day on Monday or something to ensure you're by a computer??

The trend so far for shows this year seems to be announcement and onsale at the same time.
I'm crossing my fingers for a monday announcement/onsale because i am off on monday but not on tuesday
nor is there any chance of me getting tuesday off no matter how *sick* i may be

*grumbles stupid end of semester meetings*

extremely glad to have a job...but still....

*goes back to thinking of clever excuses to leave meeting for a few minutes if onsale happens on tuesday*

I could take any day off I want but I don't get paid for days off. I was recently unemployed for 6 weeks and have only been back at work for one week. Believe me, under any other circumstance, I would call in. But now is not the right time for me to be missing work. I'll play it by ear and try when I get home.

Actually if I were going to be at the office, this would be no problem at all! But I'll be at a hotel. I can easily pop back to my room, I just need to know what time.
