Who has done that?
I know it's probably not the best idea but how bad is it really?
The reason it's on my mind is because I have been sick recently with a cold...had congestion now it's mostly a cough...and some co-workers are going out to the bar tonight. We usually go out on weekends. I know I should stay in and keep resting but the worst of the cold is definitely over and it's Saturday night!
So yeah, just seeing what people's opinions are...

Yea if you are on any kind of over the counter cold medicine, even one drink can have some pretty hard effects. But other than that I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you are worried, just drink something mixed with Orange Juice (ie vodka) so it kind of evens out.

in the old days, brandy and whisky was given to children for sniffles or coughs.
smoking with a chest cold is a MILLION times grosser than having a drink on the tail-end of a cold.

Antibiotics shouldn't be taken with alcohol. Unless it's on the tail end of the prescription.

I proved it all the time in college, but then I grew up. A drink or two is fine, but excessive intake will weaken the immune system. I thought this was common sense and if you really think about it, it makes sense, but here is a website:
