I completely agree. I also work in the medical field. Too much media hype0 -
The Sars media scare was in full effect when I was traveling for the 2003 tour. Besides a few annoying questions at the airport it didn't effect or deter me in any way. The only goal achieved by WHO was a crippled economy and job loss because of meaningless travel advisories. I really feel for the people of Mexico right now. I found it funny that at the same time as the whole Sars thing the US had those bullshit triple red terror alert warnings every other day, but we couldn't very well let that effect cross border shopping now could we. We're importing bananas from half way across the world, if you're going to get a flu, nothing is going to stop it. I wish the media would spend a little more time focusing on the effects mass production of meat and corporate farms is having, that's what people should really be scared about.0

Last year in USA alone 35,000 deaths from the common flu....200,000 world wide from the common flu.
So what are we really worried about?
WTF????
Scott
And the little boy was from Mexico, in Houston for treatment. Since January 1st 13,000 deaths from the common flu in the US.
Should the WHO not be held responsible for a possible outbreak of hysteria rather than the flu by raising the "threat" level?
totally agree with this, my university has 6 reported cases but everyone is recovering like any flu illness, unfortunately everybody else at the school is flipping out
thats good to hear.
Part of me says "stupid USA media blowing things out of proportion" but the other part says "well i dont remember SARS ever reporting every single death one by one on the news, and going this overbaord about it, maybe this shit is bad"
I dunno, i have other things to worry about. Im no doctor, but doesnt this all boil down to the FLU???? I mean, its not like this is cancer or AIDS were dealing with.... im pretty damn sure a vaccine will come out for this flu. Also, arent we getting OUT of the flu season, or even already OUT of it.5/28/06, 6/27/08, 10/28/09, 5/18/10, 5/21/10

Instead of the boy in the bubble it can be the band in the bubble (would insert creative photoshop picture here if I had the skills). Just an idea for the band to consider

Well, we'd be worse off then they are, waiting in line, sitting all together. They're up on stage. I don't think they're worried about the swine flu. At least I hope not. I NEED to see PJ!!!!Its good to be back!!0
