ADAPT fights for people in nursing homes to have the chance to live in the community - and CCA would be a positive step toward that worthy goal. Yesterday, 100 members of ADAPT were arrested outside the White House, protesting without a permit over President Obama's perceived lack of support for the Community Choice Act. The core of ADAPT's argument is that they want CCA included in the health care reform package that Obama is going to send over to Capitol Hill later this year. As of yet, no determination has been made to include the CCA provisions in that proposed legislation.

as a person with a disability, i'm deeply sadden that this is still going on.

Every American should be able to choose where they want to live. Anybody can become disabled at any moment. Would you like your freedom to be taken away and told were you had to live if you had no family to help you?

It’s cheaper to care for a person in their home rather than an institution or nursing home.

Keep people with disabilities in their communities and not locked up in some building on the corner of town!

Healthcare reform must include Community Choice!

please take a moment to follow this link to write Congress. I greatly appreciate it.
