Is It just me or do any other guys feel this way. But the past few years it seems like a lot of women are dropping F-bombs like crazy. And some could care less Im not the language gestapo or anything but I guess Im just getting older but when women talk like this I think it's a huge turn off. Unless.. well you know  Sign of the times maybe? Do any women feel the same way about men ?

Welcome back to the 1950's ladies. Put on your poodle skirt, get back in the kitchen, and for God's sakes act like a lady! Men can cuss, drink, fuck, and swear; but WOMEN...

The thing I notice a lot more of late, women fighting ... and, being brave and starting fights, with guys. That shit is wrong. They know the guy isn't going to hit them back, so, they really stir shit up. I can't stand it.

    As for woman dropping the F-Bomb ... sometimes ... it's fantastic ...

i do not discriminate based on gender in regards to language. i personally do not have a problem with the F-bomb as you put it, or most language deemed 'offensive'...whether uttered by a male or a female. the only time i may is when someone is extrmely LOUD about it in public, and/or in a professional environment. i wouldn't say anything about it to the person, but i just don't think it's always appropriate or respectful. i think respect for those around you, in general, is a good thing. that said, i curse like a proverbial truck driver at times! many are quite surprised really, b/c i am really, really good at turning it on/off due to teaching so long and sure...my mother doesn't like it, so i don't do so in her presence. :D

i think that it has become more acceptible, and rightly so imo.....and definitely across gender lines in acceptance...and again, rightly so imo. however, i have heard many a man express the same opinion as you, so i don't think it's so unusual. we all have things we like/dislike...turn-ons/offs...so why not language? i find a man who cannot express himself decently verbally a turn-off, so really, same thing eh?

  • To S.S. Your missing my point. Hey if you want to date a chic that talks like a drunken sailor that's your right But I would rather not that's all Im saying. What's wrong with that. I simply asked a question not a smart ass remark from you. Even though that's all it seems like that's all you are ever capable of doing when you don't like what some ones opinions and beliefs are.

    I don't really care...

Granted, if anyone says "fuck" every other word, then it's annoying and uncalled for... but used sparingly/appropriately to add emphasis or whatever is fine by me, male or female.

Im sorry But I just have a lot more cooth then that.Look if some one wants to talk like that then they have every GODDAMN MOTHER FUCKING right to. I just think when every other word is fuck this or fuck that it' disrespectful when the other person is offended by it.If they are just words then why do so many women flip out when they hear the word CUNT?

and i am of the opinion, that being male or female is of no bearing for if i find one's language offensive, that is all. as i've said, in public, being loud about it, not being respectful of those around you....male or female....yes, i think it's uncool. as to why women flip out over that, or any word, probably b/c they find it offensive. why? you'd have to ask the individuals. obviously it Is meant as a very derogatory term for women here in the states, but go over the the UK and they use it probably more frequently than 'fuck'...and both males and females. so it all depends on the audience. that said, i am not the one who said they are 'just words'....tho overall, i do agree. i personally think when every other word is fuck, simply shows the speaker doesn't have a very broad vocabulary or well-honed speaking skills...and i say this as someone who uses the word 'fuck' often, but i also like to use a LOT of other words too....expletives and non-expletives alike.

i dislike it when used publicly, loudly, in mixed company.....older people, families.....etc about.......b/c you just don't know what language people find offensive, and i personally see no need to be loud about it. however, as you say...people can and will do whatever the fuck the want. fine by me.

    As a woman . . . I say there is a time and place for f-bombs . . . by men or women.

I have no problem dropping one if I've just taken a fastball pitch to the ribs or someone has completely pushed me beyond my level for tolerance. It's fine if the guys in the shop where I work want to use that language . . . but I don't want to hear it when I go home for no good reason.

Though, it's really funny to watch my bosses turn red because I've walked into their offices while they are on an f-bomb streak. :D Men who think women don't swear like sailors at times are mistaken!

I'm a woman and proud. But if a woman is bold and rude enough to start slapping up a man, I think he should hit her back. Don't go overboard and overkill, but if the guy is defending himself and he can stop it, why shouldn't he.

Oh I totally see your point. That is an uncalled for and unpleasant scenario.

There is a time and a place and person to drop F-bombs. Saying 'fuck' can be very therapeutic for the moment, whether angry and having a jolly good time. But to drop it to intimidate someone, and to deliberately offend a stranger within earshot, that is so not cool!

Other than that, men and women are free to use it IMO.

Is it bad that I agree with this? I am no way a woman abuser, and have never raised a hand to any woman..but if I was in a situation where a woman started throwing fisticuffs and really landing some good punches, I would just sit there and take some fists to the face and say "she's a woman, I can't hit her"...

I guess it's all depending on the scenario, but just I agree that just because it's not "right" to hit a woman for no good reason, it's not "right" for a woman to hit a man for no good reason. I'll just say it this way, you better have a good reason for landing a punch to someone or you should expect one back.

    absolutely.
however, the OP was about finding it offensive or a turn-off if WOMEN cursed a lot, not men....and i think that's where a lot of us focused. i agree with all your points, but they absolutely hold true regardless of gender.

and dcfaithful....from my perspective, i don't think it's wrong to agree with that at ALL! i think whitepants is right on! NO one should ever use their gender to cause inequality, or as an 'excuse'......and a woman hitting a man and not expecting to be hit back, ANYone hitting anyone, really......it's just wrong. don't dish it out if you can't take it. equal rights, absolutely.......
