Any ideas on this? Does it just mean a presale or is it early entry or something?
What the fuck is this world?

Both. Sort of.... Special entrances so queues much, much smaller.

'Beat the queues with priority tickets' It says. Hmm, early entry I guess? Or same entry, but just their own queue which will be shorter.

I really don't see the logic to this. Why would they give priority to o2 customers who may not even be that big of a fan of the band over loyal 10c members? It just seems stupid.

    Because they like money.

To be honest, it's probably not that big a deal - If you turn at at a normal/lateish time, sure you'll get a short queue, but if you're getting there really early to get in as early as possible, it probably won't make to much difference.

    I'd hope, anyway.

What makes you think that an o2 customer purchasing a PJ ticket may not be as much as a fan than a 10C member? It's not because you join a fan club that you are 'more of a fan'. Maybe joining fan clubs is what you do. There are several bands for which I consider myself a loyal fan but I am not in their fan clubs....

Since the venue is owned (?) by o2, they are just giving their customers a lil' perk (for any event), just like 10C is giving it's customers a lil' perk with advanced sales.

I appologise, I said they 'may not' be a big fan of the band, not that they wern't. It's just, if you're going to pay extra to join the fanclub, and then pay extra to buy fanclub tickets, then why don't we get priority? It's not even the priority I'm bothered about. I'd be completely fine if we didn't get priority, it's just the fact that o2 customers do...that's all.

What I dont understand is how come NIne Inch Nails have arranged early entry for the fancclub (which is free nowadays) for both the O2 ~AND the MEN just a month earlier, yet PJ cant pull this off?!?! And why are NIN-Janes Addiction tickets much cheaper than PJ, which is one band?

We got priority for ticket sales - got them before anyone..... 10C catered for their customers by giving them advanced sales. O2 cater for their customers by giving them fast track entrance (and somewhat earlier sales than the masses). Different 'companies', different perks.

Dan... I do get your point about NIN... but then NIN are... NIN (what can I say - good ol' Trent!). I wish I were going but I missed out on tickets (been a strange old year for me - been out of touch...)

As I pointed out in the other thread, it appears that this is only a chance to buy tickets ahead of the general public. Maybe they do have their own queue, but there is certainly nothing mentioned about early entry for this concert.

exactly (though they didn't even tell me about the presale for some reason :()

I know O2 customers get presales.. not that happy about it but I can get over it..
but early entry will downright piss me off!!

I've only been once to the Arena (KOL in December) so far but no-one came in before us non O2 customers.. (didn't get queuing before 5pm, and there was less than a dozen people before us..including 1 PJ fan we knew)
I sure would hope PJ doesn't allow that kind of corporate stuff (they didn't at Werchter in 07)
  • The only 'priority' that I know of that it gives you is the ability to buy tickets 2 days earlier than general sale, I don't think it has any impact on early access to the arena or anything like that.

Every event at the O2 in London and Dublin has a presale for their customers - fair enough - the best seats don't get released in the presale though.

OK... this is what the general idea of the 'perks' are:

    http://www.o2blueroom.co.uk/Assets/Spec ... keover.pdf

As to 'early entry', as said before, I doubt if it is EARLY. This is what it says:

    "Customer benefits
The O2 will bring a selection of benefits to O2 customers. There will be access to exclusive pre-sale tickets for your favourite gigs and exclusive music content. At the venue, O2 will be giving customers the chance to upgrade their seats, jump the queues through the fast track queuing system and access the Blueroom bar for a true VIP experience. Keep your eye on the Blueroom website for more info www.o2.co.uk/blueroom.

Basically, they have their own entrance. Whether they get in a tiny bit before or not, I don't know.

If this really bugs someone - then call the O2 - they can give all the info necessary.
