All this absurd complaining and heartache over something a tad trivial. This is not even over PJ, but just Eddie. What's he gonna play the ITW stuff and maybe a few PJ songs, without the band? And for $65 a pop; a little bit ridiculous all of this freaking out over this. If you don't like what happend, drop your Tenclub membership and don't worry anymore.

  • I've not read any of the complaining because it doesn't affect me either way, but it would seem there is by far too much outrage about tickets for a damn concert....personally, I've got plenty more to worry about than whether or not I make a show or not.

Granted, I would be pissed if I had tried to get tickets and could not, but it seems some folks have really gotten out of hand. Crack open a beer, put PJ on the jukebox and chill out!

Yeah, like adding a second San Diego show.
Everyone is born, but not everyone is born the same. Some will grow to be butchers, or bakers, or candlestick makers. Some will only be really good at making Jell-O salad. One way or another, though, every human being is unique, for better or for worse.
  • What exactly is trivial about people having money taken from their account and not even getting tickets? I saw one guy has over $1000 on hold because they told people to "keep trying". Nothing trivial about that.

Exactly. I didn't even try to get tickets, but taking $1000 from someone and not even getting tix because of a website glitch is certainly a valid complaint. Geez, if the people in this thread couldn't eat for 1-2 weeks because of a 10c error, I'm sure they'd be pissed too.

It might help to know why people are upset because you start a thread blasting for being oversensitive. ;)

I've read the complaints and I understand why they are upset; however, concert tickets are still trivial. Should plan ahead and use a credit card; if you don't know the ups and downs of debit cards, you should be a more informed consumer.

'Tis true, so me being one of those folks who did not read the complaints, I stand corrected. I can understand getting pissed about being charged and not getting tickets, but while it is certainly a hassle I could live without I would have to believe it is a fuck up that can be corrected...I would certainly hope so anyways

  • I also was screwed royally yesterday. This happens every time there is a online presale. why can't someone address the issue so the servers can handle the demand. We all are going to try for tickets, we all are going to be there at the same time. WHY can't this be fixed.

"the ups and downs of debit cards" - huh?

You're still apparently not realizing the impact of this issue.

It affected debit and credit cards and was about the ups and downs of the 10c server, not the cards used. The 10c told people to keep trying to purchase the tix, and when it crashed over and over, the system charged the people anyway despite them not getting tickets. It could take up to 2 weeks for the charges to be removed. Some people can afford $150 but not $1,000.

How anyone can not sympathize with the fans on this one is beyond me.

It will be corrected, but not right away. It can take 3-5 days for the authorization holds to disappear on credit cards and up to 2 weeks for debit cards.

Fortunately I didn't try to buy tix, but having worked in the customer service management field for the past 15 years, an apology from the 10c is certainly in order.

i for one know that if i had tried for tix and that happened id be pissed... im 20 y.o.... dont have a credit card... am on a VERY tight budget... and im sure PJ has alot of fans in the same boat... so dont speak for everyone... i saw on a different thread someone did a lil math: $20 x 100,000 active members (a rough est. probably on the low side) = $2,000,000 annually

i dont know how much it costs to maintain and update websites to handle the kindof rush we saw yesterday, but it cant be more than $2,000,000 - the cost of paying the small 10C staff, newsletters, and vinyl

i dont mean to get into this complaint as it doesnt immediately effect me at the moment... but SOMETHING has to be done for the future... and i think its more than a valid complaint considering people DO pay for this service

I am not so sure about that, even if someone used a credit card a $1000-$2000 limit isn't too out of the ordinary so if 10club maxed out my credit card I would be very annoyed.

let's not forget that many of these "charges" were done AFTER the shows were sold out.....10c left the links up and for whatever reason the buy button would appear on various shows.....if people didn't come here first and just went to buy the shows they were getting the hold charges....that is definitely 10c's fault for not taking down the links once the shows were sold out....no one should have to come here first to find out that the shows were sold out and they weren't really getting tix.....

I could not agree more. With credit cards, you are not locking up the funds in your bank account. The pending transactions will be canceled before you get your bill, so you pay nothing.

I am really surprised how many people are shocked by what happened. This is very common across websites where you submit payments. Many sites have "Please click Submit only once". TenClub could use one of these warnings. Google "payment click submit only once", you will see many many sites come up that have the same billing process as TenClub.

i dont think the problem was people clicking submit more than once... 10C does have that warning... the thing i think was that people would click submit and then instead of getting to the confirmation page they would get an error and then assume the payment didnt go through at all so they then went through the whole process again and repeated... and this became an even larger problem when you consider that 10C left the buy links up long after they were sold out as if encouraging people to add charges to their cards for nothing

But if you only have a $1000 limit and you were only expecting to have a $140 charge and all of the sudden your card is maxed out it would be extremely annoying, more than annoying if you have bills that automatically go to your credit card before the charge has a chance to be fixed.

Yep, you got a server error, please retry message. And the tickets that you thought you bought were still in your cart. And the site returned you back to step 1 shipping address. So it was very easy to make multiple attempts to purchase them. I made three attempts in five minutes because of this problem.

Thanks. I'm not so much worried for myself because I used a credit card and the charges will drop in a few days, but more so for people who used a debit card. It takes up to two weeks to get that money back and the worst part is its their money and not a credit card's money.
