good i'll keep an eye on this thread for details then, wont be bothering queuing dont think i will get as close as the astoria or dublin anyway
  • How doin......

First Post on here, although I have been a fan for many years this is my PJ cherry.

So, whats the craic with the gig? Is there a first come- first served deal with a pit down the front? Or are the GA's just all mingling together on the floor with no barriers.

Personally I canny wait, as you can imagine. Got the Albums, DVD's T-shirts..... 1st gig....

Arriving the Monday afternoon, got a hotel close to the MEN, and heading around Manchester for a few beforehand and a few post gig refreshments in the hotel, so looking forward to it.

I hope you all have a good trip on yer Fun Bus to London.

    ;)
I have wished for so long. How I wish for you today.

The venue has said it's a no early entry gig so I should think it'll be a case of quite a few people queuing all day to get to the front. Others aren't so bothered so will probably make their way to the venue nearer door opening time.
I think they're doing the same as Wembley in 2007 - the floor area is 10c only.

Dude, you should sooooooooo come to the pub before the gig! It'll be a great introduction for your first PJ gig!
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

As in, no standing for none 10c members? I couldn't see them doing that.

And I would love to come to the pub too, but being 17 has it's difficulties.... ;)

  • Cheers Sian of the Dead.

I know the London gig a few years back was all 10C members and I heard it was superb atmosphere in there.

Anyway, what is the plan for a pub. What pub is it?

Have not looked at flight but it would probably cost more and be a lot more hassel than train, coach etc.
    Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,
    Dusseldorf 21/06/07, Manchester 17/08/09, London 18/08/09, LA 06/10/09, LA 07/10/09.

Ain't gonna be any middle anymore.

Thats not to bad but its getting to the Airport and such, plus time spent checking in and waiting around it would propably take longer than the train.

Post yer name up and i'll add it to the list of us attending

EDIT: Just so you all know, there's a meet up happening on the Sunday night before the gig (16/08/09). There's a lot of us planning to meet up in the local Wetherspoons for drinks and disgraceful... er... I mean GOOD behaviour ;) All are welcome!

Details of le pub: The Moon Under Water, 68–74 Deansgate, Manchester. http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/pubs/pub ... Number=193

Drinks will also occur before the gig on the Monday... No details as yet but i'll keep an ear close to the ground and post when I know owt... to quote Rob "Queuing is for geeks" ;)

    sunday night????

ok.. same pub... i'll be there from 3pm.. yes DAYTIME... all other Scots, irish and Northerners are welcome to join me ;)8-)

p.s. any lapdancers not on the day shift are welcome to come along :D

queuing is for geeks... unless its a queue at the bar.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
