ACL---who's going??

yeah, i know we've got a little while to wait. but who's going? who else are you looking forward to seeing? will you camp out all day Sunday to be up close for PJ?? where's the pre-party? where's the post-party? will speedy eat a whole box of thin mints in one sitting??

so many questions...but we have time.

i'll be there. 8-)

    well, they're the main headliner. so they'll be playing unopposed on Sunday & they'll also get a nice, long set. also, when those cartoons leaked, the initial leak had dates on the cartoons & PJ's said 10/4/09 (Sun).

    I'm there! We were already going but I'm so excited! The last couple of years we've met friends and made a base camp so people could come and go to see different acts but still be there for the headliner so I'm sure we'll do it again this year. :D

    I could wear my tiara and everyone will know me. ;)

    The schedule won't be released for another month or two, but last year the "big" headliner was the Foos and they closed out the festival on Sunday night as the only and last scheduled band.

    Can't wait! I had my hopes dashed when it was rumored they would be headlining last year, and the year before. It's been too long since they've been to Texas.

    pearl jam plays sunday. probably 8:15 to 10pm. foos got 8:30 to 10pm last year.

    I was (this) close to buying tickets to Outside Lands, but I much prefer Austin to SF and am glad I waited...

    Never been to a festival except taking the kids to WARPED and I dont wanna count that.

    Is Austin easy to get around for a newbie like me. My daughter will probably prevent us from going, as she will be in the thick of her freshman volleyball season, but I am entertaining the idea.

    Are the motels within walking distance?

    Will I get to meet Sandra Bullock?

    Are there many vegetarian venders?

    How hot is Austin in October?

    Count me in! My wife will be seven months pregnant at that time but she's given me the green light to go! Hopefully there will be at least 2 or 3 other Texas shows, including Dallas, to go with it!

    So I take it their set at the festival is going to be separate than their set for the smaller ACL show taping? If so, how the hell do we get in the show taping?

    Hopefully I can go to this. I just saw Dave this past weekend here in Nashville and it was awesome. I haven't traveled to see Pearl Jam since Charlotte in 96 so I'm hoping I can make it

    ACL moved to October (not as hot) and they installed sprinklers and planted grass at Zilker to cut down on the dust. Gonna be a great weekend!

    I'm not a big fan of Festival shows, so I'm going to be holding off until some strictly PJ shows (+ opening band). I'm looking to take another trip out to Seattle this fall, so hopefully they play some dates there and I can book my trip.

    I've been every year since the first ACL Fest, so I'm sure not stopping now. Bought my ticket last year the week after the last one was over. I love Austin!

    I'm in. A little tip from a Texan. For those of you with 3-day passes, go see Reckless Kelly on whatever day they play.

    They are an alt-country outfit, sort of along the lines of Son Volt and Wilco. Go see them. They are good.
