For me, this seems like the only thing that matters anymore, seeing art in whatever form, that makes me feel something.

So when was the last time art brought you to tears?

if you count movies aswell - the last movie that made me cry was Milk.

the last book that made me shed tears.. I can't remember.. it was probably the last Harry Potter or Kite Runner. I'm not sure which one I read last. I think it was the Kite Runner.

About 15 years ago I cried when Goose died in Top Gun. Lame teenage hormones.

I almost cried watching Earth today, I didn't, but it was pretty close. The natural beuaty captured by the filmmakers was just breathtaking.

I was listening to the Hartford 2008 bootleg the other night, had it cranked on my stereo and I was a bit high at the time too, and during Not For You I got dragged into the song with all the back and forth guitar work.. So I was really paying attention at the end, and my speakers kick ass, so I'm hearing everything in the song, and Eddie carries this little melody at the end on his guitar, so subtle, and the notes just ring out into my apartment. Eddie sings the line from that Sleater-Kinney track that goes "My whole life, like a picture on a sunny day..." and he never stops his melody and he even lifts you up a little bit with some emphasis.. I burst into tears. A mix of emotions, joy and sadness, and memories just overwhelmed me, and I freakin' cried. It was extremely cathartic.

And that's why PJ will always be my favorite band.
