I would expect a release either just before or just after the European dates.

Either way, I expect that some lucky Europeans will be the first to hear the news songs!

How can they give us a date on when the album be released on May 1st...If the album is only half done?...Doesn't make much sense to me....It is more than half done...Or they wouldn't even be telling us a date..The album is pretty much done...Ed will be touring solo in June..So, that gives them what all May to finish it?...

It has to be more than half done; maybe the engineering is only half done. Eddie wouldnt' be touring, etc. if it the songs weren't done being recorded.

I don't believe anything until I see a confirmed date..I doubt they give us anything solid on May 1st...Probably take them a good month or so to come up with title of album and cover design..

They never said they would officially announce it on May 1, just that they would have an idea by then. Not one person here knows for sure how much is done.

I just wish they would tell us the damn US dates already, the wait is killing me. When do you think we'll get a tweet about it?

They didn't play anything from selftitled in South America.

Wouldn't bet on them playing too much pre-release - a lot of us thought we'd be hearing a lot off of Avocado on the Canadian tour, but they didn't play anything at all - Borgota got Gone, but I think Ed wrote it in his hotel the night before the show...wouldn't be expecting much new material. Anyhoo, just a guess, those shows will be awesome. Can't believe it logistically even makes sense to go overseas to do 4 shows :?:

Me too. But I can't help but wonder if PJ would really come the East after doing a tour last summer and EV doing two East Coast tours... :(

I feel for you. I know how it feels when they don't come your way. Atleast the East has had their fair share whereas the South has been neglected far too long.

Fo' Sho! You can never have too many PJ experiences. The more the merrier. Believe me; I hope they go your way. I just hope they also come our way as well. If the rumor is true that they will tour the South, I'm ecstatic.

    Hi King Jeremy,
I reread the first post and missed where they said an offical announcemnt would be made. Must be hidden in there. I missed it when I read the article with Jeff and watched the interview with Stone too a few days ago. And by "they" I thought it meant the band would know around then. My point was that no one outside of the band knows how much of the albulm is done.

PLAY BOSTON! I've always wanted to go to Boston. I'm a huge Sox fan since 1986. Maybe I'll get the courage to go and kill two birds with one stone. PJ and Red Sox!

Here's my theory, it has already been said that they are going to self release the album. So they may do a (free?) TEN CLUB digital release ready for the Europe dates at say the beggining of August and then the physical release in September. You never know.....

Yeah.... This economy is probably affecting most everyone. Bringing out the worst in many.

I try to keep a positive attitude. There are so many things to worry about.

I don't find being upset at the band as one of those things. Sadly so many do and then I get annoyed at all the anger and whining. Anyway........

The fact that a new album is coming soon if FUCKING awesome.

Pearl Jam is touring again in Europe! Hell Yeah. Good for those lucky fans.

Eddie is on the 3rd leg of his solo tour.

The band is about to tour the US, and then it seems a World Tour is in order.

Seems like 2009 is turning out to be a VERY GOOD YEAR.

I can't help but be totally happy and psyched. I love the direction of the band and I guess that is why those negative attitudes really chap my ass. :D
