totally amazing... having come from a printing background this is truly amazing... it'll be a great thing to go into a bookstore and not hear the words "its out of print" or "it'll take 5 days to order in" ... this will be almost instantaneous.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

You could also just get a kindle and download it at home without ever having to walk into a store.

Me, I like having a real, published book. I like the cover art, like seeing it on my shelf, like browsing the shelves at the shop... I do the same with cd's.

did you read it? its not a digital book or anything....
this process gives you a proper printed book... properly bound, proper cover, etc... its the same as getting it off the shelf...

the browsing aspect is interesting though... this new process is only useful if you know what you are after right enough.

Wow.....neato....if they can get the majority of publishers onboard, it will change the book business.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

Yeah, I was referring more to the browsing. ITough I do feel like if you're just going to print stuff off, why not just get a kindle? It's easier and more environmentally friendly. The kindles aren't half bad really. And I imagine these printed copies will be pretty generic in terms of cover and whatnot.
