Do Long Drives Make You Feel Better?

I'm getting ready to go for one now. I feel when I'm really DOWN it helps to just drive and just listen to some music...

Anyone else feel the same way?

    it works for pj too, they have a lot of songs or lyrics about driving.

    Sometimes when i go out driving with my friend to go play pool or something we are just listening to Neil Young or R.E.M. and i just think i wish this journey would never end.

    Long drives don't really do it for me..I don't find my mind more clear, I find it racing only faster... I much prefer a bike ride, or lifting weights or mowing the lawn, something physical to get my mind clear...But, enjoy your drive!

    Sure; but saddle up a bicycle and plug in an ipod and pedal your ass off. You might even feel better than driving an automobile.

    Last week I went for a long drive in and around Napa Valley.

    Now that was awesome!

    You may have a point. Usually a good long drive helps clear my head a little, but not this time... I may need to get a bike or do some heavy duty power walking with my MP3 player...

    I just got home after driving 7 hours from Minneapolis to Chicago at the end of vacation... that may have been a little too long for my liking.

    To me, there is nothing better than driving alone in the middle of the night. Even better if it's a little rainy but not too hard. It's so relaxing. Put on some great late night driving music and just go!

    I LOVE driving!

    My favourite is through country roads at night with no streetlights and it snowing big snowflakes!!

    They used to, but then gas got expensive and I got poorer when it went back down so most of the time I just worry about how much it's costing me to drive, lol.

    Though I'm also looking forward to 2 (long drives) I'm making in the next few weeks that actually have a destination :)
