Memphis is too ghetto. Ed doesn't need to get shot down there, so he's in and out as fast as possible.

I believe Memphis is right on up with my old hometown of Columbia, SC for "armpit of the South". I have lived in Columbia, Atlanta, and spent a lot of time in Memphis for my job and there NO contest which is the best city, the ATL....not even close.

No contest. Memphis is right up there with Compton. Atlanta is a fucking awesome city.

Memphis is actually #2 behind Detroit on the most dangerous cities, based on a yahoo article a few days ago. I happen to live in #4 Las Vegas currently and lived in Memphis 13 years. No doubt Memphis is ghetto, but I was never a victim of any crimes there.
  • Memphis is ghetto, 2 shows would have been cool, and memphis is ghetto.I hardly see a point in watching the news anymore.

I've been to both Atlanta and Memphis (as a tourist) and I found Memphis to be far far far nicer, cleaner and friendlier than Altanta. It's been 10 years though so maybe things have changed, but I found that hanging around on Beale Street in the summer was really cool. I didn't see any barrel fires in Memphis, which is more than I can say for Atlanta.

  • Ok, like anything else in this world, there are parts in Memphis that people definitely shouldn't travel to. If you stay on and around Beale, you should be fine. If you travel out of those parts, You have been warned :)
Straight down the center for a hot chicken dinner!
