    I prefer to see a movie with someone, but if I am the only one who wants to see it, I'll go on my own. Same with dinner out, if I want to get a bite at a restaurant (not a fine, fine restaurant, but a $15 a person restaurant) and can't find anyone to go with... I go! My GF never, ever, ever will dine in a restaurant alone. I've even asked her to arrive early at a restaurant and order for me so we can get to a movie on time... and she won't even enter a restaurant by herself. So, each person is different. However - nothing wrong with it.


    ...except I went to see the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie by myself, since I couldn't find anyone to go. A) I was the only one older than 26 in the theater and B) the characters in the movie make fun of anyone in the theater who is alone (which I probably was the only one). So I blushed a little in the dark, but hey, they were making the joke intentionally to make individuals uncomfortable. :)

    i definitely prefer company for almost all activities, but you bet....rather go solo than miss out. and i too wouldn't go to a *fine* restaurant solo, but sure, i go to pricier restaurants solo as well. i enjoy good food. :mrgreen: it's been quite a long while since i dined out solo, and again....definitely prefer company, but ya gotta do what you gotta do! life is too short to miss out on enjoyable experiences simply b/c you don't have someone around who can, or wants to, do what you want.




    *i WILL say, as a female, i do not go to bars solo. only exception is if there is a gig in the bar, but just to go on my own and drink? nope. i can do that just fine at home. i will go and meet up with friends and such, arrive/depart solo, but that's it.

    Its a movie. There's no talking. Everyone's supposed to be quite and watch the screen and listen. How does it matter if you know the person you're sitting next to or not? There's no talking (and it pisses me off when people talk during a movie).
