Why is there always

negativity on the forum? Within the first five posts under Eddie's letter is something negative. I just don't get it... So much energy is wasted on negative thinking...imagine what could be acomplished if that energy was redirected toward something positive, with just as much passion. Look at the positive side of the situation.... it feels much better than seething negativity; especially when this is basically a family on here and we are supposed to be supporting the greatest band out there! C'mon guys! We are in for a great year, be happy!!!!! :D

    I don't see this sort of negativity towards other bands I am into so I'm not sure if it's the fault of over-needy PJ fans or maybe they way the business of Pearl Jam is run. Thoughts?

    it's naive to think that all PJ fans are on the same wavelength...i mean most of us seem to be...but there will always be exceptions...but hey..i hate Obama (fraud!!..and no I'm not republican!!)) so i may be one myself...but that guy who was dissing Ed's WM3 support is just a dickhead plain & simple.

    People are negative because it's a lot easier to say something nasty or to diss someone than to try to be positive. Like everything in life, we follow the path of least resistance . . . unfortunately :oops:

    I for one got a good giggle out of Ed's letter (and the timing) and really appreciated it :)

    Wow. That guy that posted that message saying how he didnt' give a shit about the WM3 and thanking Ed for the "useless info" is without a shadow of a doubt the biggest bag of steaming dog shit on the planet.

    Not only should that prick be kicked out of the TEN CLUB for supreme douche-baggery, but locked up and thrown away on the basis of unmatched ignorance and stupidity. It's wonder that he can even dress and feed himself let alone put together a sentence or 2 of such epic and moronic porportions.

    That man is too stupid to even realize how stupid he is.

    I'm completly dumfounded at how such a half-bright slant headed ignorant fuckhole like that could ever ever...ever...become a fan of this band?

    It sickens me that I have to share a favorite band with such a lowly form of human waste as that.

    This must have been one the sloppy drunk frat boy numbskulls at the Eddie solo shows yelling out for
    "Even Flow" while pissing their pants and vomiting all over their American Eagle Clothing.

    I wish guys like that would do us all a favor and leave the TEN CLUB for the real fans.

    Afterall there are plenty of bands out there who won't talk about and encourage activisim. Rolling Stone reported a little while ago that Creed was getting back toghether...

    God knows they'll never ask their fans to get active and READ SOMETHING...well...other than go out and purchase whatever corporate product they happen to be whoreing their tour to...but I digress.

    Anyways...I hope that idiot chokes on his own stupid tounge.

    i actually commented on this fact in that thread. a certain person is always negative & they went on to say that we all act like we're "holier than thou" and are too "PC". whatever.

    Welcome to what people call life. I agree with you wholeheartedly and am not making fun of you. I am just saying that this is just a microcosm of the real world in some ways. No matter what, there will always be people that aren't satisfied. I try not to pay attention, as hard as it may be at times. Heck, I have even made comments that looking back on, wish I hadn't made. This place can be one huge place to vent. And we all become therapists by default.

    I am entitled to be as opinionated as all of you....I have been a fan club member for a long time and was always amused at all the negativity, too...so I thought I'd stir the pot some, too
    Diversity is good and a lot of the negative stuff I spew is extreme sarcasm (hence the Twain quote, pointed just as much at me as anyone, in case you, the reader, may be interested)...and some of it is a bit deeper, admittedly...ultimately, we are all here because we share the love for the best fucking band in the world, Pearl Jam.
    (At least that's what I thought)

    Im down with some more positivity. I usually try and choose the positive outlook on things. I completely agree that Im tired of coming to this board to read about pissed off fans for no reason. Its not as much fun in here as it used to be.

    Lot of meanness towards each other and just generally complainyness. Save it.
