Ticket prices go down closer to show?

I think I read on here somewhere that someone said ticket prices go down closer to a show. Does this mean the prices on TM, at the box office, or just people outside the venue getting rid of spares?

Sorry if has been asked before.
I surfaced and all of my being was enlightened.

Prices at Ticketmaster and the box office remain the same. But extras held by other fans and scalpers come down in price as the show nears because they fear not getting rid of them...

If your talking about the EV shows, people were just about giving them away in NYC but didn't see any extras going in NJ. So hard to say.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!
