Bobby and I had the pleasure of meeting Lance when he came to Detroit for book autographs a few years ago.
He is really such a nice person and a fun person, too.
I feel bad because I never got around to developing that film roll where a picture was taken of us and Lance. It's in a bag full of undeveloped films! One of these days I will... but I promised to email him the picture.
I'm glad he got his website up and running, though! It's really awesome!

No kidding. Seriously, who is going to pay that for a photo?
You're talking about the same fan base that pays $163 for EV solo shows and absurd amounts for posters, right?
I think he's marketing to the correct crowd.

i really don't want to *start* anything, but i've seen a few comments about prices. all i can say is, they are NOT outrageous, at all. within the fine art community, a known artist....and yes, photographers ARE considered artists, these prices are quite comparable. now i know many can and do 'debate' the whole issue, art being ridiculously priced, photos can be reproduced, etc, etc. thing is.....the artist does deserve to make a good living. the more famous the artist, the higher the demand, yada, yada......and yes, if these prints are at all limited, signed/numbered....prices can be even higher!
btw - this is no dig at anyone in particular.....it just saddens me when people comment about the 'ridiculous' price of art, and of photography in particular. i think it's even *tougher* for photographers b/c most think *ANY*one can take a picture. while, technically this is true...from an artistic standpoint nothing could be further from the truth.
Cool work. Anyone know who their photographer was after 95? I'd like to buy some high quality prints from when I started going to their shows in 98.
Anton Corbin did some of the photos for the Yield album, and he also took the shot of Ed that is on the back of Into The Wild and on the Ed Solo tour shirts. He does a lot of photos and videos for other bands too, like Depeche Mode. As far as more recent stuff from the last few albums, Danny Clinch shot a lot of the publicity shots of the band and also directed the Italy DVD they released. He is by far the best photographer they have worked with and also worked under Annie Leibovitz for a while.

The one with the whole band admiring Neil Young shredding on guitar with the light at his back has to be the best one.

Ummm...good point. I stand corrected.
I'd love to buy some!
Better save my $$$$$ !

The prices don't seem high to me. Really. Good photos/prints are $$$$

the picture of layne with mad season is incredible too
