Anyone a fan? Havent read any of his work, but just bought Naked and Me Talk Pretty, and have heard nothing but praise for his work, specifically these two. He is coming to speak in my town, he seems to frequent here often.

Anyone seen him live?

I bought the books because of word of mouth, but also because from what i have heard, his books are just alot of fun, and good laughs. I spend alot of my day emmersed in works of art, books, movies, music that are pretty heavy and am looking forward to just having something that makes me laugh...

He's a very funny guy. I like hearing him more than reading him, but the books are still gold. I read him first, but when I heard him talk, it gives you a whole different image of him. Check out "This American Life" on NPR, either on the radio, or download the podcast. He's on there pretty much every two out of three weeks. He's pretty amazing. I have never seen him live, but one of my close friends saw him speak in France, and said he was outstanding. If you get a chance to see him, I'd check it out.
"The dude abides. I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that. It's good knowin' he's out there. The Dude. Takin' her easy for all us sinners."

I've seen him live and definitely recommend it. I hope you're able to check him out. :)

He's extremely personable (first time I saw him was at a book signing and he stayed hours to get through the line) and absolutely hilarious. I first saw him on Letterman years ago and was sold. From that first exposure, I was able to hear his speaking voice and cadence in my head (it's that distinctive!) when I read his books. I'm with milarso - adds a whole other dimension to his work.

My husband saw him live and said he was amazing. I think I've read all his books, he's pretty damn hilarious. I love "Seasons Greetings to our Friends and Family!!" this story that's a fake Christmas letter. Twisted and great.

I'd love to see a sit down with those two...or hell, reading between the lines of what her and david say sometimes...I'd love to hear that whole family get together and just have a round table.

I've yet to read anything by David Sedaris that I didn't enjoy on some level.
