For those who don't know who "The State" is, they spawned "Reno 911", "Wet Hot American Summer" and "Role Models". I had the pleasure of booking them for my college back in the 90's. They rocked.

    if anyone has an xbox live account, you can download and save episodes of the state directly on your xbox hard drive.

    I liked the skit where the mailman delivered tacos instead of the mail.... and the job interview when the interviewer kept asking the interviewee if he thought he was nice, and if he thought he was a fatty etc...

    i've been waiting for years and years and years for the DVDs to get released...

    as excited as i am that they are, i won't believe it until have them in my possession

    I think they were printed and ready-to-be-shipped a year or two ago. Maybe had some legalwork with the rights to the music. The episodes often had MTV's popular music on it, which may not have the same user rights when the show is not being played for free on tv, especially when the show is being sold on dvd. One episode on iTunes has all the photos of anyone famous blurred out during a few scenes with an "agent", or the scene of the girl writing to Cindy Crawford has all photos of Cindy Crawford blurred out. Probably lots of legal stuff they had to comb thru.
