I agree. I've only heard the new single on the radio, but it rocks.
Saw them twice over the last 2 weeks and they rock! Such a tight band, and such a breath of fresh air. No disrespect to the Innocent Criminals but Ben seems to be letting (what's left of) his hair down with Relentless7
A radio station was airing a full Relentless7 live show yesterday here in France and ... it rocks.
Nice blues-rock sound. I can't wait for the album now and it would be great if they open for PJ.

There was a live webcast of their Earth Day performance in Italy yesterday...someone posted a link in the "Other Music" forum.

"We paced ourselves and we didn't rush through it and we tried to be as creative as our collective minds would let us be over some course of time instead of just trying to rush through a record"
New album is OK. It's not that amazing but it has good songs. But the main rule with Ben Harper is to see him live. All his songs are much better live than on album.
He made an appearance on french tv yesterday and they played Shimmer and Shine and it rocked the house.
So if he opens for PJ it's going to be a memorable experience.

Saw Mr. Harper the other night at the Pete Seeger Bday show and was awesome
He played with his Mom and Aunt I believe
The highlight of the night for me was Richie Havens, Dave Matthews and Bruce Springsteen w/ Tom Morello, but Richie Havens takes the cake, the guy just sings and plays his heart out
The show would have been extra special if Ed was there, I wonder if would of played with Bruce or Ben b/c they played songs that appeared to be duets
Awesome show though, if ever get the chance, see Pete Seeger or Richie Havens
