I will be in Minny in May, and would like to take my son who is 9 to see the Twins. Is it worth spending 53 dollars each for nice seats, or do you get a decent view even from cheaper seats?
Thanks!
Thanks!
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

Its never worth 53 bucks to see the Twinkies!
Ouch! And yes it is.
The nice seats are nice... but I've also sat in the upper deck behind home plate (cheaper) and it was pretty nice. Probably don't sit on the Home Run Porch - we get a little wild out there for the kiddies. Anywhere down the 1st base line is pretty nice too... I caught a foul ball and everything!!!

Booooooooooooooooooo!!!
Oh, and to add something worthwhile to this thread.
I like the Twins, and I like watching baseball, at least on TV. I dunno if its the Metrodome itself, or just that baseball in person is boring, (I've never been to any other stadium) but I am excited about the new outdoor stadium for next year!!
Although that's probably because its being built in the parking lot I used to park in when I went to school in the Warehouse district.
What I really want to know is since the new ballpark is down there, and they will want it to be a family friendly area, are they going to make all the strip clubs close down?
Anyway, I just looked at a random game and it looks like the $31 seats are pretty decent. You can get the section right next to the $53 section, and only 14 rows off the field.
Know that if you tried to get those $53 seats in other ball parks, you'd probably pay 2, 3 .. 10 times that ... so, might be a nice treat to be that close. Provided your little one doesn't want to leave after 3 innings due to boredom.

ahah... we are red sox fans living in NYC, so we know a thing or two about outrageous ticket prices (that's actually one of the reasons why I want to take him to see the Twins since we are in town .
And no issues with boredom. We both loooove watching baseball in any form. Since we don't get redsox games televised here in New York, we'll stare at the gameday icons for hours on end, and cheer at them
Thanks everyone for the input. I'll see if the rest of my family wants to come. If yes, we'll get the cheaper ones, if not, we'll splurge on the "53s"
Yeah, the Twinkie Dome sucks.. I'll be the first to admit that, and I'm a HUGE Twins fan! (Thanks for Crede by the way..)
Let's go play outside next year.

Oh come on now, I cant even talk about Crede. He could have gone to any team and he had to go to the Twins. It's killin me.
I'm excited for the new stadium outside next season. I like going up to Minneapolis. Should be interesting with the Twins playing at home in April.
Also in October if they make the playoffs!
Fairs fair. He's been giving us fits for years!
The new stadium is going to be beautiful - but yeah it should be interesting in April considering all the late snow we've gotten the last couple years. I like to think I can tough it out though.
Enjoy!! What game are you going to? I'm hitting up some of the Twins/Brewers series in May..

Seattle, on Saturday 9th!
We will be in town those days for my commencement, and I figure I'd give my son a show he can *really* be excited about
