Stone's brown Telecaster w/Bigsby

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but I was hoping to find some info on Stone's Telecaster. I refer to the brown coloured one, with a Bigsby tremolo and f-holes (i.e. it looks like a Thinline Tele). He is often seen playing this when they play Life Wasted live. It is also pictured in the booklet in the Imagine in Cornice DVD.

Does anyone have any info on this - e.g. is it a Fender or is it a Fender copy? Is it a Fender Custom Shop one-off? What kind of pick ups etc.

Thanks in advance

Love the rugged look of the trussarts. Unfortunately they're waaaaaay out of my price range...

Well, at least that's ONE guitar where i can be sure it will outlast me. :)
  • Stone uses that guitar quite a bit. Everyone I know that plays one loves it. I could not believe how light the one I played was, considering the body is made of metal. Real nice ebony fingerboard, too.

Yes, you do get what you pay for with some of the independent guitar makers... :)

You have to be very careful when using a Trussart or any metal guitar of the like. Luckily for Stone he has some amazing guitar techs. The weather EXTREMELY effects these guitars more than most because of it being made of metal, and the cold and hot will expand and contrast the body and neck on these. Depending on the location of the show, Stone might need a complete re-setup by the next show. But again, Stone is in great hands and won't have a worry about it, but for the average player - something to keep in mind if you're looking to purchase one.
