ok, i'm 16 and in high school. i'm planning on going to the hartford show, night 2 of msg, and boston. my uncle has some sort of connections for me at msg, but for boston and hartford i plan on using 10c. here's the problem .. i'm going to be in school! fuckin school! WHAT SHOULD I DO?? i need 10c tickets! there's not really too many people in my family who would be able to master the whole process, and obviously all my friends will be in school as well. any opinions? will tickets still be on sale when i get home around 3? should i try to show the process to one of my family members and hope for the best? i'm lost here .. and i live in ct, so hartford goes on sale around 12:00 pm eastern, and boston at 2:00 pm eastern. my number is 405xxx.

    Skip class!
I know I'm a University student, and I might have class on one of the days that the presales are on...aaand getting tickets are just taaaaaaaad more important than hitting class that day ;)
  • my plan would be to fake an illness to stay home, start the planning early, make it believeable the night before. im just happy that my job requires sitting in front of a computer all day
Small my table, seats just 3, its not crowded, its just lucky me

agreed. and can I offer a sugestion. If you are going to MSG 2, go to MSG 1. I know you are going to 2 other shows, but back to back in the same city and venue is a special thing you won't want to miss.

Train a family member. Start now.

Or convince our parents to let you stay home.
sometimes life don't leave you alone
  • Get mom and dad to let you go home early. Tickets will not be available later.

I skipped an entire day of school for an indigo girls show with my mom's blessing.

they'll understand it's a once in a lifetime thing. make sure to cut the grass or get a good grade on a report or something. lol

pretend like you're really excited and want to go to school that day, then that morning fake an illness, it will be more believable due to the honest intention of actually going to school, then bam you're home all day and your baby boomer, computer illiterate parents can't fuck it up - good luck

You have to skip... Missing one or two days of high school is no big deal.

let your parents know, if they are cool they would understand and let you take a half day. what harm is missing a half day of high school going to do anyway. you'll probably be sleeping during your classes anyway, or looking at some hot chick.

skipping class is the way to go. and that number won't get you good seats but definitely in the pavillion which is fine.

People who are actually buying tickets on monday would rather you didn't do that though.

Also, I don't know about hartford, but boston-- you'll definitely not get good seats with that number.

no the worst ten club seats are better than most tickmaster seats...generally. if your going for a single ticket you might be able to score a really good one through the public sale (but even that chance isn't great) but if your going for 2 or more, ten club is the way to go.

Ten Club seats are going to be better than TM tix 92% of the time...AND they have changed the seniority so rows 1,2,9 and 10 are random so YES.

Don't tie up the line with other tix though! Do it this weekend with GOODS. Same exact concept. (Just make sure to explain to them to keep trying even if it says temporarily out of stock.) That needs to be part of the "training." YOu could even have said family member make a purchase this weekend. Buy the Gorge or a Brad CD or a t-shirt or hoodie. Then they can follow through with the entire process.

That's what I would probably do if I was you.

No if it was me. I would have skipped school and done it at my friends house. Or stayed home (will any parents be home? If not...) and faked sickness. If your parents won't be there to see you are buying tix... and if they are not aware of this dilemma already. I say. Go for it. EVERYONE is sick this time of year. :)

You sound a little congested already! ;)

Good Luck, It's all worth it. :)

    +1

It'd be pointless being in class anyway because you won't concentrate on what you should be. High school is mostly busy work anyway from my experience.

That or cut class at lunch time if you can get home early (I had to ride the bus so make sure transportation is secure if going this route).

haha thanks for all the info! the good thing is that i need 4 tickets per show. therefore, i need 2 from 10c and 2 from TM for both. that way i can see how it really turns out and what ends up better. if TM is better i'll just use those 2

Looking back; I wish that I would have skipped class more for awesome oppourtunities like this.

Just make sure that if you do skip... and your parents find out.. that they won't prohibit you from going to the shows.

'Cause having tickets and not being able to go would be the ULTIMATE FORM OF TORTURE...

    Good Luck!!

middle/back of the pavillion, probably closer to stones side. i sat there at both camden and hartford in 2006 and they are fine seats. yeah it would have been nicer to be closer, but no complaints.

ooh ok. hartford is basically good seats anywhere except way back or lawn. thanks for the info. i'll be good though . 2 tix with 10c, 2 with TM for each show. it should play out nicely .. then msg, who knows what or how it'll happen but my uncle who is verrry wealthy and owns many fleetpride autoparts stores around the country claims he can get me within the first 5 rows. who knows if that will happen, but hey .. we'll see
