I admit it - I dont like No More as a song. I am one of those people that thinks 'why does he need to play this EVERY night?'

And that has nothing to do with politics... we all know where PJ is and that's fine. I just think its a mediocre song that's been played to death on tour. It's side-by-side with Even Flow being played every show, except people don't get offended when that is said! :)

That said I would NEVER yell that. Thats just rude... so I feel bad that he has people saying that to him. Or he reads the board. I'm not sure, but I feel bad that he has to hear it from somewhere.

That's one of the downsides of going to multiple shows.. or being a rabid fan.

I just find it funny because there are some that just dont want to hear politics at PJ shows, but there's a (IMO) larger group that just do not want to hear that particular song anymore. Either way usually when you say 'ugh, No More again?' people jump on you for it. If you celebrate a show without Even Flow its not the same response. For me though... both are for the same reasons.

Either way, it makes me feel bad Ed has to hear people complaining. I just wish instead of yelling 'shut up and sing' they would yell 'vary up your anti-war songs.' At least then he would know our hearts are in the right place

This whole thread is making me smile!!!

I LOVE this band! I love how they interact with their fans, I love how they interact with their surroundings, stay allert and aware and bring our attention to what really matters.

I was there last night. Ed signed some things after the Q&A while on the stage then he went backstage and stayed there for an hour or so. When he came out to leave through the back entrance, there were a group of us, approx 10 people waiting. He had already signed my Into the Wild cd sleeve inside, so although I could have gotten something else signed, I didn't becuase that would have been tacky. In this group, there were a few autograph hounds who had gotten 4 or 5 things signed already, but still proceeded to get him to sign other gear. Although he owes me nothing, I requested he allow my wife to take a picture of he and I, and he just wouldn't do it. It was strange, but like I said, he's certainly is not required to do any of it. I say this not to be critical of Ed, but to praise Mike. While Ed and Jeff were back stage, Mike was out with the common folk at the after party. He could not have been more down to earth and approachable. He allowed autographs, and allowed me and my wife to get seperate photos with him. It was so refreshing to have invested so much time and money in a band (which I feel has been a bargain for me) and when the occasion came to finally meet the lead guitarist, he wasn't a tool. It was just a few minutes of his life, but it helped me feel more comfortable about my support and love of the band. Overall, it was a cool experience. The movie had more of a college lecture feel to it than documentary/motion picture.
