Evacuation haters are crazy! It's sooo damn good!

can't get enough of it lately. if i heard it live i'd go apeshit. dont know why people hate it. confusing. the tb2k version is fantastic.

    i like it too but its not a song for current tours, it was a song for 2000 and before cos of Ed's vocals and general performance of it.

    i've been listening to it a lot more lately and have started to like it a bit more...go figure.

    The way Ed keeps repeating "Evacuation" just kinda makes my skin crawl, like I just wish he would evacuate from that song already...

    I'm a great fan of this song as well, enjoyed it since the first time I heard it. Not sure what people find wrong with it, but each to their own..

    I've always liked it. The end part with all the "evacuation!" screaming is awesome as hell. Can't see why people hate it so much.

    That song is the sole reason that I was unable to accept Matt for so long. I've gotten over it, but that song is just the worst (IMHO). Every single time Ed would give a public display of his "man-crush" on Matt, all I could think of was, "Yeah.....well if he's so friggin' great, what's up with that shitty "Evacuation" song." LOL!

    Now, "Unemployable", that's where I woke up and saw how talented Matt could be. Plus his drumming on this last tour blew me away.

    can't say it is one of my favs, but i really enjoyed hearing it live at virginia beach last june---sounded really good and the band appeared to have a lot of fun playing it

    Some people just aren't ready for the brilliance of Evacuation. Just like in Back to the Future, the kids just weren't ready for Michael J. Fox's rocking out. These Evacuation hater's kids are really gonna love it though.

    Evacuation is awesome. Easily one of my favorite songs of Binaural.

    Great Drumming, interesting changes, cool vocals, great guitar by Stone and Mike, sweet bass line.

    I honestly think a lot of people don't really know how to listen to it. It does sound "wonky" at first. It's like a jazz song with a rock song mask on.

    The two bridge parts of this song are some of the best pieces of music Pearl Jam has recorded.

    I usually cue this song up whenever I have to take a wicked shit. Not only does it agitate the colon and lower intestines nicely, but if I time it just right I can let one drop whenever Ed says: "it's time for...EVACUATION"

    because of this thread, i decided to listen to it again just to see if i missed its greatness. i've overlooked gems before so maybe i was wrong about Evac.

    after hearing it, i've decided you have to smoke a whole lotta crack to like this song. i think its worse than i remember. whats so great about the bridge? I think it sucks pretty consistantly throughout.
