OK, so I've been a PJ fan from day one. I've never complained a single bit until now. I have been a 10c member for 15 years, and I got the dreaded "Sorry! Your ticket order was not selected.". Never missed a tour, poured tons of money, time, and effort into being a PJ fan, and this is how I'm repaid. Thanks alot. All I wanted is the opportunity to purchase a f'n ticket. This blows. OK, now feel free to blast me and call me ungrateful and stuff. At least I've got it off my chest...

you will have an opportunity to buy a ticket when the regular sale happens.

This just in .... Ed is popular.

    i can understand the frustration

but the bottom line is you're not entitled to anything. because of the small venues the lottery was the best/fairest way to release tickets. you can still try to get them when the public on sale happens
  • There was no guarantoo that you would have got tickets via the old system because the servers would have crashed and the demand was crazy high compared to an extremely small supply of tix. Of course its easy to say this after I won. Im truly sorry u didn't get tix. There are still other ways though. Don't give up! ;)

This WAS an opportunity to purchase a ticket. You just don't like the terms.

I heard a rumor that it is still possible to buy tickets from TM like everyone else on the fucking planet.

Thanks to everyone for tearing me a new one!

I know, I know, I've been spoiled over the years and am just having a hard time dealing with this sudden change. It's just so nice (and a definite benefit of being a PJ fan all these years) that when a tour rolls around, you don't have to worry about standing in line, or getting booted off a ticket website, etc. Just a hard pill to swallow thinking that I may not be at this show because of a problem outside of my control. This is the greatest band in the whole world and an inspiration to many, including myself for 15 years, and we are severly spoiled. I don't blame anyone, just sucks thinking that I may lose out on tickets to someone who otherwise could care less about seeing Ed live and is just wanting to be there, just to be there, and gets drunk and misses half the show because they're the bathroom, and could care less about the music, etc. You know what I mean - just venting, that's all. Long live PJ!

This is the way I look at it. (I lost and typically have no luck when it comes to winning anything). Ten Club used to have their presales for members and seniority always took precedence. They COULD do the same here but they're willing to try something different. I am thankful that the same people with the low member numbers aren't hogging all the great seats anymore. I'm also sad that I never seem to win.

I'm really not even concerned as much about seat location and seniority. Did I love that system, hell yeah, because with my low member number, I was in the first 3 rows every time. I'm just concerned that this system doesn't even guarantee you tickets anywhere in the venue unless you are randomly selected. I think that all fans, regardless of member number and seniority, should have an equal opportunity to be ensured that they will receive tickets, but I realize that can't always be the case. It is an ongoing battle I know.

I have never ever not gotten a ticket from Ticketmaster. Honestly, if you're not concerned about where you sit (and these venues are small, so every seat will be fine) then you'll be all set. Just go through TM and get it done. Have faith.

Its just for Ed's Solo tour.....it wont be like this for the regualr Pearl Jam tours when they play huge venues.

So, you've been in the first 3 rows every time, and you're going to complain now? No sympathy here.

Come again? Have you bought a ticket through the PJ server before? People getting booted off a ticket website did not happen this time, but is a well documented phenomenon with every single other PJ show ever sold online through their server.

As to your complaint about the ticket going to someone that won't appreciate it... this is only the 10c sale. You think casual fans bother with the fan club? Let alone drop $160 for a pair of tickets just to see Ed? That ticket will be put to good use.
  • yo you do understand that these are eddie vedder shows and not pearl jam shows right? pretty cool that 10c made it possible for pearl jam fans to get tickets when they could have had nothing to do with his tour whatsoever and just focused on pearl jams upcoming shit.
if you think what I believe is stupid, bizarre, ridiculous or outrageous.....it's ok, I think I had a brain tumor when I wrote that.

    I understand how you feel.

When Eddie toured the last time, I was stuck at work behind a firewall etc etc etc. I did not make the 10C sale. I was slower than others. I didn't make Ed's TM sale either. Same reason.

Maybe you'll be able to get through for TM! Or maybe you'll be smarter than I was and work something out with another fan. I wasn't able to accept when someone offered them later, because of work. I suggest that even if you can't get tickets, you keep the date open and see what happens.

It's an amazing and brilliantly fair thing that ALL the fans get a fair crack at getting good seats be they up front or otherwise. The same group of people have monopolised the front rows of Pj gigs for YEARS now! It's unfair and i'm sure the band, i KNOW the band have noticed it. This is the only way forward that makes sure it's fair and everyone has a chance.

Dude, your thread title is misleading. That's a bad thing to do.

Sorry you didn't win the lottery, so good luck if you decide to go the general sale this Saturday. :geek:

All right, I'm not gonna flame you or anything cause I'd be bummed too. But honestly, you knew ordering these that it wasn't a sure thing. Not saying you shouldn't be bummed, but come on! Also, there's gonna be tons of people on here who bought tickets that are going to be looking to selling for face come show time. just keep you're eyes peeled and I'm sure you will get a chance to go.
