I'm kinda with you on this one, arq. While I'm always happy to hear some Pearl Jam songs, I've never understood why people pine for those songs out of these solo shows. I feel like the solo shows are special, and give us a chance to hear stuff that we wouldn't usually hear at a PJ show. My opinion is, just leave the song selection up to Ed, and enjoy the ride.

I would like to hear him play Masters of War, Light Years and The Seeker.

    For your consideration Ed.

I'm a big fan of Hard To Imagine and Off He Goes. I enjoy his selection of covers too. Some Pete Seger would be great!
A good compromise, a good piece of legislation, is like a good sentence; or a good piece of music. Everybody can recognize it. They say, 'Huh. It works. It makes sense.'

Here are some realistic songs for Ed to play (no SOLAT, YL, or songs that Ed didn't write or play guitar):

Long Road - curious why he didn't bust this one out for the last tour?
In My Tree- same as above
Untitled / MFC - same as above
Corduroy - would love to hear an acoustic version, like they played at Bridge back in '95 I think
I Believe in Miracles - nice acoustic version, ala Gorge '06
RVM - has this ever been done on acoustic?
I Won't Back Down - one of my favorite Ed covers
Sad - Ed plays guitar on this one, could be done on acoustic and would be dayum good too
Off He Goes - did this one get into rotation last tour?
Gone - saw it's debut at Borgata '05 (Ed solo), one of my favorite PJ tunes
Immortality - version from the Immagine in Cornice, nuff said
Can't Keep - uke version would be sweet
Betterman - well, not my fav tune but would be cool with just Ed and the crowd singing along
"If no one sees you, you're not here at all"

Does this mean go to see Yusef Islam, Phil Ochs, James Taylor, Daniel Johnston, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Bruce Springsteen if you want to hear tunes by these guys.;)

I'll be happy just to be in the audience again, but have to admit, I would love to hear him do The Kids Are Alright. He soundchecked it SD1 so maybe it's in the back of his mind too. ;)

Can't wait to take in whatever he has in store for us!

    All or None
    Thumbing My Way
    Eldery

Covers: Some Jack Johnson or Ben Harper (preferably with them!)
Hurt got me really thinking about outside the box stuff. More Cash! (or NiN doesn't matter...)
Any Dead song would be cool, Friend of the Devil, Sugaree -- but highly doubtful.
More Petty would be cool. Who tunes. Ramones, sure. Some Marley, c'mon.
I've always liked that he and pj just reach back into some cool musical corners and pull some gems out.

I'd volunter Bowie's Space Oddity as one that would be chilling to see him do!
    Kink's Lola :-D

All these songs listed that Ed has never played guitar on? Seriously?

I'd just like more "Ship Song"

That would be great to hear again. I'm 'playing' it in my head while I wait for this ticket craziness to play out. :D
