Ed seems to be more accepting of the spotlight these days...

Doing more stuff in the public eye (by choice) than he ever has. It may be because of ITW soundtrack, but he seems to be getting a lot of mainstream pub lately. (Rollling Stone, sold out solo tour, ITW press, Body of War, Showing his family in Italy DVD, Iconoclast)

Just an observation....

I hear there have been a few articles in the last few months containing ED.

However, I assume he doesn't decide if he ends up in RS.

yeah, but then like a year later he gave an interview for the magazine's anniversary. i don't get why he keeps going back to them. the '96 article was bad enough, but then the false promise to put the whole band on the cover and then just put him on it...i'd stay away. seems he is far more receptive to the spotlight nowadays though...its been headed this way for a few years. i would have thought with their free-agency after riot act that they would move inwards and become more independent...instead they signed with clive davis, the biggest musical whore in the business...i dont get it.

I remember a picture of Clive Davis in my "16 Magazine" when Arista records signed the Bay City Rollers (S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night). That was like MANY years, actually decades, ago - is it the same guy??? Thankfully my musical tastes have vastly improved since jr. high!!!!!!
I wish a guy like Eddie, would like me.

to be fair rolling stone has given its props to eddie and the boys the last few albums...i think that a lot of the writers now grew up with pj and respect them a lot more then people did in the past!

i have noticed eddie being more "visable" i think he finally has learned to deal with the stardom of being a rock star and im glad to see it!

I'm glad to see Ed in the spotlight more these days. He deserves it. The whole band deserves it. Into The Wild is a great soundtrack and movie and I think it's good for the rest of the public to see how good Eddie really is. I say good for Ed!
