Ten: Each song and how it is connected to my life

Just as a little side note, I'm sixteen and mom influenced my becoming a PJ fanatic.

Ten:
1) Once - I have virtually no control over my actions (ADHD)
2) Even Flow - Karma, simply said, what goes around comes around.
3) Alive - When Vedder wrote this, I believe, he had in his mind at the beginning the fact that he lost his biological father. Mine left my mom when I was 16 months old.
4) Why Go - My Uncle's Ex-Wife was a crazy mutha....anyways, she was sent to an institution for trying to kill her 8 month old baby by throwing a cat at his face, and gave him FAS during pregnancy.
5) Black - Lost a love I had a couple months ago. Song speaks for itself.
6) Jeremy - Oddly enough, I have a friend Jeremy whose parents don't act like they love him. Ever. He's very depressed and an absolute genius.
7) Oceans - This song bores me. So I really don't care about it.
8) Porch - I have a tendency to run away from all of my problems.
9) Garden - I don't know, but the song is epic.
10) Deep - I tend to lie and get myself in deep **** when it all comes crashing down.
11) Release - It seems to talk about a "dad" which I interpret as a biological father, thus going back to the "Alive" meaning.

As a 36 year old married father of three I have recently come to terms with my ADHD and the effects it has had on all the relationships I have ever had. I am happy for you that you have the gift of awareness. Your ADHD can be a curse but at the same time there can be blessings. An unsolicited recommendation for ya - "The Gift of Adult ADHD" is an incredibly helpful book for me. The author is Lara Honos-Webb - a psychologist who herself has ADHD. Good luck to you and Kudos to your mom for infecting you with Pearl Jam!
