I feel like I scored big Saturday with what I found but I was disappointed my store didn't have the Neil Young - Surgarmoutain release or the CSNY album. Still the MMJ live release is epic (listening again now) and I like the Iron & Wine live CD as well.

    Can't wait till next year.

I was wantin the NY b/c Massey Hall sounds f'in awesome, but the $60+ price tag scared me off

the sound on the MMJ EP is a little dissapointing. it is in a record store, so what can you expect but still a let down for me.

Actually, part of it was recorded at a big outdoor venue. The first disc is the record store, the second disc is the outdoor venue.

I went to my local record store Sat. After looking through 45s for almost an hour I grew weary...and still had not even seen half of them. Got a few of U2, Harry Chapin's Cat's in the Cradle, Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy. Hubby got a Bill Cosby LP.
So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me

    Bump....Its comming up...
    Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
    And I'm bored to tears.......
  • Some great goodies in store, Flaming Lips DSOM Vinyl, Stones Exile out takes 7", Blur exclusive new tracks 7" & QOTSA Feel Good Hit of the Summer 10" to name but a few.

I'm DJing at my local Indy again Head Records Leamington Spa UK and have some quality tunes lined up for the day, plenty of black circles will be spun.

Record Store Day is the 17th not the 18th (still Saturday though)

Heard Blur is putting out a new song for the day called, "Fool's Day"

I'll be going probably to the one closest to me in West Chester, Mad Platter. Ooh there's another one kinda close to me too, might have to check that one out also. :)

Wanted the Beach House special....oh well
  • I can't believe that R.E.M. is re-issuing Chronic Town on blue vinyl. That's been OOP forever and I hope to somehow snag a copy along with a few other tasty treats.
