"Death"

The subtle distinctions are hard to find if not impossible to detect or imagine. In such a materialistic/physical experience our senses have come to dominate. Truth through such a lens might be viewed as only singular or as cause and effect. This thinking is straightforward, cold, and logical. A slight shift in perspective is all that is needed to open oneself to the infinite possibilities found in nothingness. While the barriers might still be seen one will find that they are now permeable. What would provide a shift in perception necessary to see such changes. Perhaps it is death. Mayhap death is not a terminal conclusion but rather a shift in perception. A shift from the physical experience to one that is more aware.

Perhaps afterlife is the expectation of the dying mind. The last electrical impulses of a neuron fighting, so hard against physical death, that through sheer willpower it manages to continue itself beyond death. What is the nature of such an effort. Perhaps, upon death the mind encapsulates the context of the person (you could say soul if you wanted). Through pure perseverance the mind is able to continue life so to speak within itself. Armored denial, absolute refusal. This however seems static, but could be true. Or maybe, upon death the mind projects the context/soul outward. Just as matter (right or is it energy I didn’t pay attention in physics class in high school but I remember something to that effect) cannot be destroyed, the soul, that last electrical impulse, shares that same property. Sharing the experience with all of the cosmos. Like ripples upon the pond we too could continue on. As pure awareness.
I am a nothing dreaming of something unknown.
