Next week will be fun to watch as the bitching moves from the west coast to the east coast. This week was the west coast bitching about not getting shows. Next week will be east coast bitching about not getting tickets to their requested shows.

    Have an alternative? Because lord knows the bitching we'd hear when the website was swamped and slow and unresponsive with thousands of people trying to get 200 FCFS tickets in the first 5 minutes.

    Oh, I know there will be. Any time you have people not getting something they want, not matter the system, there will be bitching.

    I was just disagreeing with your hatred of this system. I think this is as fair as can be, given the circumstances. I mean, basing ticket sales on who can load the page the fastest seems arbitrary and unfairly eliminates those with slow computers or internet connections, or those who have no access due to work or other responsibilities at the given time.

    Suggestions I've heard basing it on seniority are absurd as well. Why should a fan who is old enough to have been in the fan club since 1991 be held in higher regard than someone who just discovered them last year but has become a megafan of their entire body of work?

    This system makes it so as many people as possible have a shot and evens the playing field.

    Yea, and we Europeans are bitching most of all ... about not getting shows and not being allowed to buy tickets = not getting tickets for non-requested shows lol. :D

    I just want to add that people can/do get tickets through the public sale. The price of EV tickets dropped when the NYC show approached last summer. I saw a 5th row seat on stubhub-broker-type-pages for $800, and I called to see how much they actually paid somebody for that ticket (I scored one on Ticketmaster, and was curious since so many friends told me I was crazy to not sell it for the profit). It was only a week before the show, and the guy said "I would only give you face value at this point. These EV shows aren't nearly as hot a ticket as everyone made it out to be. I can't even get rid of what I have." So, I could be wrong, but I suggest people just wait it out before bitching/panicking ... not all EV fans will pay THAT much to see him ... especially in this economy.

    Everyone just got over the bitching about not getting a signed SDE so now all people can bitch about is not getting eV tickets.

    I hope I am one of the lucky ones who lands tickets and therefore I won't have to resort to bitching.

    Tickets will still be available through ticketmaster and other ticket brokers on April 18 so all hope is not lost if any of us miss out on Ten Club seats.
