So here it is. Im trying to fill my Pearl Jam fix and waiting for any news at all but think it might be months until we hear anything....

I tried for the Hampton Phish tix lottery and am finally going to a Levon Helm midnight ramble session. I remembered what a great time the Pearl Jam Borgata show was a few years ago and decided to check the Borgata website. The smashing pumpkins are listed in November and I remember Pearl Jam selling out in like 5 seconds and thought - Ill never get tix. Surprisingly I got 2 no problem. I know Smashing pumpkins havent been around for a while but I figured with such an awesome venue and other bands not touring- It would be an awesome ticket. I'm going to take my brother who went to the pj borgata show and agreed it was the best show he's ever been to.

Guess it goes to show that it's not always the venue and just how popular Pearl Jam is. I've never been to a pumpkins show but their style and that oh so familiar venue seems like the closest thing I'll get for months to come to a pj show.

    This needs to be in "Other Music" b/c its a letdown when you read the whole thing

    Yes, Borgata II was amazing
    Smashing Pumpkins are sickkk (saw them headline @ Virgin Fest 07)
    But the two aren't playing together and that makes me sad

    OOPS..... i never meant to mislead- I see now how it reads. Glad to hear pumpkins are good live. I WANT MORE PEARL JAM!!!!!!!

    on a side note...you mentioned phish tickets....i didnt try for the lottery cause hampton is to far and as their first shows in years itll be hyped beyond belief (i was at the MSG reunion show and it was insane)

    but man, im soooo stoked for that band to get back on stage in 2009!

    i think that there is just something special about seeing a show at the Borgata. I saw Motley Crue there and the show was awesome... the venue is on the small side and very intimate...

    Not sure if im more excited to be at the pumpkins show because of them or the incredible memories I had at the night 1 pj show. Awesome venue- should be great!

    I may have two extra tickets to the Pumpkins at DAR Constitution Hall on 11/11 for face + fees. 2 people i was going with canceled on me. If anyone is interested let me know.
