Wow. There sure is a lot of bitching and moaning on here. Many people behave here as if Pearl Jam or Eddie Vedder owe them something. We are very blessed, as Pearl Jam fans/Ten Club Members to be fans of such a great band who treats their fans so well. What other band has been together so long and blessed their fans with soooo many great concerts and other extra fan club perks? So, you didn't get your Christmas Single yet, or newsletter... or they aren't touring near you... get over it. Be thankful that they are still together and still producing GREAT music! Be happy! If you don't like it, then don't be in the fan club!

    Seriously. This band is still going strong after what is getting close to 20 years!!!!! Just think of all the other bands that made it big with Pearl Jam out of Seattle or most good 90's bands. They arent around anymore. Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Nirvana just to name a few. We are very lucky.

    It blows my mind how many people have a sense of entitlement about this band. If Eddie or Pearl Jam are coming to my neck of the woods, then I'll go see them play. If they aren't, I'm not going to come on here and rant about how much they suck.

    I'm just happy that my favorite band still releases new music every now and then, and I can see them in concert from time to time.

    I think all the 'bitching and moaning' is due to the fact that they want to see them and they aren't coming close. I think the people 'bitching and moaning' are huge fans and just want to see a show. Also, if you can't bitch and moan on a forum, where the hell can you?

    What kind of message do you think this kind of behavior sends the band? If I were in the band, the message I would be getting is fans are ungrateful! The band can't go everywhere and they can't please everyone. People should understand that. All they can do is try to be as objective and fair as they can. People should respect that.

    To all those bitching about the new ticket policy. Here's what my experience was like last year with a Solo show. (and several others)

    10C tickets went on sale at 11, if I'm not mistaken.

    10:30: Come home from work
    10:55:Log in, go to Goods section and start hitting refresh every few seconds
    11: Tickets go up, get a pair in my cart.
    11:00 and 20 seconds: Site crashes.
    11-12: keep hitting refresh, waiting for the website to come back up.
    credit card gets charged several thousand dollars.
    12:00: Site comes back up. I'm logged out, my cart is empty.
    12:01: I get logged back in, site crashes again.
    12-2ish: Keep hitting refresh. A few people on the message board say the site is back up and they got ticket. I was never able to get a full page loaded.
    shortly after 2: Site comes back up, sold out. Back to work I go.

    A few days later: Saved by ticketmaster! (which sold out in under 1 minute.)


    I'm not saying it was tenclub's fault. Just a case of demand GREATLY exceeding supply. So this new method may not be perfect, but I don't think there is a perfect answer. At least you won't all lose 4 hours of your life, and thousands of dollars in charges on your credit card, only to come up empty.

    Like a lot of folks here, I want to see and hear everything I can get from Pearl Jam.

    But I also realize they control the flow.

    I have no idea. I wasn't the only one that it happend to. My card was charged around 2,500 if I remember correctly. There are some people who were charged over 10,000.

    Maybe we were charged for each time we hit refresh. That's my best guess.

    And get this, it was on a friday, and the funds weren't put back for 3 business days. It wasn't a big deal for me, but if some people needed that credit for food maybe, clothes for their kids, they were SOL.

    it happens every time there is an announcement.....but I still just don't get how some people react the way they do, ie...

    - People screaming sellout and calling Ed greedy....like he schemes up plans to take your money
    - being shocked with ticket prices, when they were exactly at the same point last year
    - people in Boston complaining about not getting a show, when there are multiple shows there pretty much every year
    - one person even guaranteed $100 tickets for regular Pearl Jam shows this year
